Once upon a time there lived a queen named \"MATHEMATICS\", who had two daughters, \"Algebra\" and \"Geometry\". One day, she said to her daughters: My dears, people need you everywhere ...

That's why I'm sending you to two different ends of the country. You will be helping three people. The Princesses go to different ends of the country. There they help people and teach math. People used them in city planning, commerce, and education. Day by day the country develops more and the country becomes the most developed country in the world.

All this time, the princesses kept in touch, realizing that they needed each other to solve all the problems encountered !! .

Everyone admires the intelligence of Algebra and Geometry. The girls want to organize the Math Olympics, and while they're working on it, one day a person named Probability comes up. He says he heard about the girls' reputation and is one of their fans. He states that he wants to take part in a beautiful project together by combining his thoughts.

While traveling the world, the princesses met a farmer who wanted to calculate the area of cultivated plots.

Although it was hard at first, they managed to calculate it and taught the farmer how to do it so that he could do it anytime he wants to. That is when the 2 girls decided to make the real-life a problem and solve it in the Olympics. They got their first idea there from the farmer and inspired them to see how much help was needed in the world so that it would become perfect. They continued the project and finally, they remained at: 1)Agility-calculating a series of different multiplications 2)Equations-calculating and solving equations 3)Graphic reading-understanding what type of graphics there are

4)Real-life problems-th e participants had to bring real problems from life and give solutions using math The 2 girls did not know that there was a person in the crowd that would change their life forever. He was observing their succes for years and after the olympics ended he aproached them and asked...

- Dear girls, I have been following you for many years, you have impressive abilities, which you can easily apply in solving life's problems. I have a very interesting proposal for you ... You wouldn't want to work with me, ahh I completely forgot to introduce myself, my name is Pythagoras and I would like to work with you, we will definitely do a wonderful job, what do you say? Algebra and Geometry accepted Pythagoras' proposal and in the end they didn't regret it at all, in a few months together they discovered a very useful theorem, after which they became very well known all over the world. But what was next ...

...Was that an unknown greek man was getting was looking around the crowd and saw the 2 girls. He told them that he had a theory which could not be resolved without their help. They were curious so they accepted. With the help of Geometry those two came up with a revolutionary theorem. Euclid ( also known as Euclid of Alexandria) helped a lot of people with his ideas and became a really important person. After some time…

They met a woman, she said that she was a writer, her name was Ada Lovelace. This writer proposed a good idea to recognise that the machine had applications beyond pure calculation, and to have published the first algorithm.Such a good mathematician was observed by two princesses and they started to work together and they became the first computer programmers. And, after this....

Analitical Geometry Geometry was kidnapped by a dragon who was locked it in a tower. Initially, she did not know how to escape because the tower was very high and all the doors were locked. She thought about calculating the slope to find the easiest way to escape. Geometry managed to escape as far as possible and managed to reunite with his sister, Algebra. A year has passed and...

Complex numbers While Algebra and Geometry were travelling everywhere to find new people that they could help, they have come across a village that could not solve an equation despise their constant efforts. This equation was x^2 + 1=0 and nobody could find a real solution for it. In the end, with the help of the town's people, the 2 girls managed to solve the problem.

Complex numbers The solution sounds like this if there is not an answer among the real numbers why not change the equation with the letters a and b and add an imaginary part to b, by doing this a whole new lot of numbers were created, the complex numbers. Everyone was happy with what they achieved and Algebra and Geometry left to find someone else to help.

After solving the equation and leaveing the village the two girls discovered the functions and decided to apply them in real life . Algebra and Geometry noticed that these functions are very easily applicable in everyday life. One day when they were in the park, they noticed the shape formed by the water jet of the wells and created the so-called mathematical parabolas. They left happy with the discovery made while planning others.

The Simmetry On a beautiful summer day, the two girls decided to take a walk in the woods, to cool off because the temperature outside was really hot. Seeing a very beautiful butterfly, they followed it until it sat down on a leaf of a tree, which they later noticed its similarity on one side and on the other. It seemed to be split in two, and all the details would be very similar. That's how they discovered Symmetry. Then, venturing further into the forest, they saw that this new creation appears on flowers and many other plants.

Logarithmic equations Continuing their adventure, the two came across an angry man crying. They asked him why he is crying and he replied that he did not realize why he could not do the equation \"log x-1 (2 + x) = log x-1 (3x + 4)\", Algebra and Geometry tried to solve it until they realized that they needed living conditions. After this success, the two decided to take on the little man named Louis in their adventure but after a time...

They got invited as special quests at a small gathering among smart people. There they met a dignified lady named Hypatia. She told them about her knowladge in mathematics, philosophy and astronomy wich she inherited from her father. The girls became friends short after and tought Hypatia more in those domains and helped her become the first female mathematician and teacher in Alexandria.

Irrational Equations Some time passed and a new chapter was rumored in the city. It was called \"irrational equations\" and no one knew how to solve it, so the citizens called the two princesses for help. After much hesitation, the two princesses realized that the solution was very simple and that all they had to do was raise the equation to the power of the radical order.

They taught people how to solve rational equations. After teaching the people, the father of the princesses summoned him to his kingdom. After the princesses said goodbye to the people, they went to their fathers.

Before going back to their father princesses stoped by their uncles Euklid's house. They told him about their adventures and told the stories of the people they've helped. They found out that their uncle was writing a book, but he had a writer's block so they decided to help him finish it. They came up with the name 'Elements' and with the help of the sisters Euclid proved 464 theorems. Soon after the sisters were on their way to their father once again.

On the way back to their home, they stop by the village of Irrational numbers on the way. They have heard that there are interesting numbers in this village. And then the number Pi appears in front of them. From what they've heard, this number is a number that goes on forever. When they think about where the number Pi is used, they see that the number is approaching their side.

Pi had told them that he would let them leave the village if they knew the first 5 digits of Pi. The princesses started remembring a song that they were taught from a young age that contained the first 5 digits and so they sung the lyrics \" ≈14159...\"

The Argument One Cold Winter day, in a universe where numbers were alive, two voices could be heard verbally fighting about a very specific subject. This \"specific subject\" is unknown, but what is known is that they got to a point where they were discussing who was more interesting. One number said: \"-I'm bigger!\" That number being 7. \"-Well, I am an even number and you're not!\", said 2.

The Argument To us, this dialogue has pretty much no sense, right? Because they’re talking about their attributes, but they’re just numbers. Well, that’s what I had in mind as well, but, in their world, attributes had a very iThe list goes on and on.. As you probably noticed, I included some pretty odd expressions in the “list”. “They had more force” was used in a context where numbers had to carry other numbers and put them in the right place to create a mathematical problem correctly and flawlessly. Small numbers like 1, 2, 3 and 4 were usually seen commanding bigger and stronger numbers like 7, 8, 9 etc.

Enough chattering , let’s get back to the point. While these two numbers where arguing, they didn’t realise that they had to complete a mathematical problem, and resulted in a really big mess: Because of their argument, the commanding facility closed down and so did the problem they had to finish. They were the only two that had been tasked to work on it, so that means that both of them were stuck together for a pretty long time in a single room with nothing else to do.

After that, they both realised that they were wrong and that they shouldn’t have argued over a petty thing ( which we do not have information of what it might be ) that wasn’t important at that time. Moral of the Story: Try to not get in troubling arguments, they might result in you or the other person/both of you getting in unnecessary trouble.

After the numbers realized they shouldn't argue about it , they solved the problem and became friends. After a while these numbers went around the world , in every location... possible ...

after they did the problem they realized they could do more than one problem, they went to the BIG COMPETITION, it was hard but in the end they succeeded! They were so happy that they gave a party where they invited the princesses.

A new purpose After some time through the journey, they saw 3 creatures with gloomy faces on the side of the road. The creatures told their names to the princesses: Sin, Cos and Tan. -We just don't know what to help with in the world! said Cos -We haven't been given a purpose yet.. said Tan -The princesses start to think about how they can help the poor fellows...

After many years in Egypt during the reign of Ptolemy l held a large fire in a village that devastated all people's homes and destroyed crops. Villagers had no where to stay and what to eat so Ptolemy sent his two sons to help. The two boys were very good at architecture and geometry, Euclid had taught for himself. They provided help villagers to rebuild their homes and gardens. The boys sent villagers form their knowledge of geometry. Enjoy the aid received, the villagers built a small pyramid in the middle of the villagr where the eternal flame burns

Trigonometric ratios To build a pyramid they needed to use as trigonometric ratios and a magic word SOHCAHTOA. Build a height with 30 degrees.

They made the turn with the help of Sin and that it was 20 meters. With the help of the villagers the pyramid built in a few months. Above, a great eternal flame to illuminate the entire population.

Fibonacci Sequence As they walked through the forest, the sisters noticed that a proud snail was on the edge of them. The shell immediately reminded them of the Fibonacci string. Álgebra says that flowers are the poems of the earth.

He knows many flowers, the number of petals in a flower constantly follows the Fibonacci line: the famous lily, which has three petals, the rooster, which has five, the chicory with 21, the daisy with 34, and so on. Loredana doesn't think too much and says: don't forget the Sunflower - it's one of my favorite flowers. One of the most beautiful gifts I ever received was a huge bouquet of sunflowers in a snowy winter.

Did you know that sunflower seeds have a lot in common with the Fibonacci series?! When you go out in nature often, there are times when you pass by a new place, but you feel like you've seen it before.

Another chapter from the life of this two sisters is their collaboration with Pyrhagoras.Together they discovered a theorem named the theorem of Pythagoras. It says that the sum of the squares on the legs of a right triangle is equal to the square on the hypotenuse

From Pytagoras the sisters learned a lot of new and usefull things not ony for math but for life.As we all know he was a greek philosopher and a very smart man. Algebra and geometry memorised some advices that he gave to them: ,,Choose rather to be strong of soul than strong of body\",,,Don't chase after happiness,it is always in you\". From their oppinion, the one with the most powerfull meaning is this one: ,,The oldest,The shortest words: 'yes' and 'no' are those which require the most thought\".

After meeting Pythagoras, the numbers went on a journey. On this trip they met with the fractions. After the numbers and fractions became friends and talked, the fractions learned the numbers how they too can become like fractions. After all the lesson and effort, the numbers had to go, some numbers stayed in the fractions camp along with the fractions and they learned more stuff, and the rest went back to the land of numbers, where the princesses Plus, Minus, Multiply, Divided and Radical they were waiting for them to meet the equations. After the princesses and numbers got ready, they went to meet the equations.

The Castle of Mathematics There once were two castles, the castle of numbers and the castle of operations. The numbers lived in a castle with 2022 rooms, 2021 towers, 2020 walls and 2019 windows. The castle of operations had half of 10000 rooms, 789 minus 450 towers, 168 plus 655 walls and 975*2 windows. The numbers and the operations were good friends. On a sunny day, a smart prince called Archimedes came and told them that they were strong, but together they were invincible, so the operations and the numbers built a great castle called the Castle of Mathematics, and they lived there together, ruled by Archimedes. Gica Delia Gabriela, Jean Monnet High School, Romania

Algebra Geometry One morning, Queen Mathematics said to her daughters Algebra and Geometry again: “My dears, people need you everywhere. It can be said that the language of the Universe is mathematics. Also, the people have always tried to explain their universe through patterns, which scientists have called fractals in nature.”

“Dear daughters, go to the Garden of the Palace and bring me proves of that.” The two daughters went to the Garden and took some wonderful pictures of the flowers. Carlos Sanz Ene, Jean Monnet High School, Romania
