Board Policy 5210: Communicable Disease The MiraCosta Community College District is committed to providing a safe and healthy campus. The district shall establish administrative procedures necessary to assure cooperation with local public health officials in measures necessary for the prevention and control of communicable diseases. SARS-CoV-2 and the disease it causes, COVID-19, is a global pandemic and has resulted in widespread illness and death worldwide, in the United States, and in California. In furtherance of this commitment, the district shall establish administrative procedures regarding COVID-19 vaccination to mitigate the risks surrounding exposure to COVID-19. These administrative procedures will require that all students who are on district premises for any face-to-face instructional and student support activities (e.g., office hours, classes, library, tutoring, etc.) have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The district will accept any COVID-19 vaccine that has been Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Emergency Use Authorized (EUA) and/or has been approved by the World Health Organization (WHO). Hours: 9 AM–5 PM, Monday –Friday. 4 By Mail — Complete the registration form on the next page using a separate form for each person (forms may be duplicated). Visa, MasterCard, Discover card or check (payable to MiraCosta College) can be used to pay registration fees. PARKING INFORMATION Parking permits normally required at MiraCosta College campuses in Oceanside, San Elijo and the Community Learning Center have been waived for fall 2021 semester in student parking lots ONLY. College police will be enforcing parking requirements in staff parking lots or spots, and disabled parking spaces. Parking is always free at the Technology Career Institute. The San Elijo Campus of MiraCosta College is closed due to extensive remodeling and other construction projects. It is scheduled to reopen just in time for the spring 2022 semester. REFUND AND TRANSFER POLICY Check refunds may take 4–6 weeks to process. Class/Workshop Refund Policy: Refunds will be made up to three business days prior to the class start date. No refunds will be given once a class has started. A $15 cancellation fee will be retained for each refund. A full refund will be given if a class is cancelled due to low enrollment. Unused attendance is not transferable to another class session. Excursion Refund Policy: Refunds will be made up to five business days before the excursion only if the excursion is full and someone on the waiting list is available to take your place. There will be a $25 cancellation fee if a replacement can be found. Workforce Training Refund Policy: Refunds will be made up to five business days, depending on course, prior to the class start date. A $75 cancellation fee for work skills programs will be retained for each refund. A full refund will be given if a class is cancelled due to low enrollment. Unused attendance is not transferable to another class session. Class/Workshop Transfer Policy: Transfers will be approved up to three business days prior to the class start date.
