Treasury Department was granted the Honorable Mention Award of the department level in the Innovation of Public Service Delivery category of the National Treasure Museum’s Augmented Reality Technologies project.

Project Plan in the Fiscal Year of 2013 The TreaAsnurnyualDeRepparorttm2e01n2t State Property 111 State Property for Food Corps and Energy Substitution Crops With the cabinet resolution on July 28, 2009, the Ministry of Finance has allocated the state property which was excessively possessed or not being utilized by the government agencies to be leased to farmers with reasonable rental rates in order to prepare for the food and energy crisis. This project has been operated since 2009 to support the quality of agricultural products in the matter of public interests by renting out 42,000 rai of state property to farmers. The “Rut Ua Rard” Housing Project The “Rut Ua Rard” Housing Project, which was initiated by the Treasury Department in accordance with the government’s policy, aims to help solve the country’s social problems and​ alleviate poverty. This program has been in operation since 2004. By collaborating closely with other organizations, the Treasury Department targeted to rent out state properties to at least 3,000​ low-income lessees and tenants. State Property for Retirement Home The Treasury Department has initiated this project to provide housing and other benefits to the elderly to improve the quality of life and housing. The project consists of elderly housings for improving the quality of life, health services, and recreation, consisting of detached houses and​ condominiums which are designed for the elderly convenience, such as a 24-hour hospital emergency number. The project is divided into two categories, government managed and private sector managed through a bid and tender. Songkhla Seaport Development Project The Treasury Department has developed the seaport in Songkhla province to be a master seaport for the direct import and export of products to the southern provinces and to increase the capability to compete with the Penang seaport in Malaysia, and prepare for storage expansion from 150,000 TEU/year to 420,000 TEU/year in the future. Phuket Seaport Development Project The Ministry of Finance endorsed the policy for the development of the Phuket Seaport located on the state property in Tambon Wichit, Amphoe Mueang, Phuket to be a tourist port and a duty free zone. The Treasury Department has also renewed the management contract with Chaophaya Terminal International Co. Ltd. Due to the impact of growth in tourism and the existing cargo ship’s departure ports, it has been necessary to improve the seaport by expanding facilities by constructing an additional port including a tourist port and a container port. In order to achieve this objective, a feasibility analysis and a study report of environmental impact assessment (EIA) are required before implementation of the expansion project.

Project Plan in the Fiscal Year of 2013 Logistics Project to Support AEC The TreaAsnurnyualDeRepparorttm2e01n2t The Treasury Department has implemented the policy of utilizing potential state property, 113 including economic corridors and main check points, and operated nationwide, for logistics projects to support AEC. The project consists of constructing warehouse and distribution centers along major economic areas, establishing duty free zones, improving sea ports connecting both sides of the sea, i.e. a land bridge in Songkhla, a deep sea port in Songkhla and Satun, Pak Bara pier, and improving a deep sea port in Phuket in order to support both cargo and cruise ships. According to the project plan, the Treasury Department has to survey potential state property, conduct a pre-feasibility analysis, set target areas, select the operator of the project under the Ministry of Finance’s Regulations on State Property and Revenue Generating Management of 2009 and other related laws, and monitor potential state property. NGV Gas Stations Project Following the cabinet’s resolution of 17th April 2012, endorsing the support of state property​ in building NGV gas stations aimed to support the government’s policy in promoting using NGV instead of petroleum, the Treasury Department signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Petroleum Authority of Thailand (PTT) on 6th September 2012 to build an NGV gas station on about 2 rai of state property located at Sukhumvit 62, Bangjak District, Bangkok. The project plans to build NGV gas stations both in Bangkok and in the provinces. Community Library Project (Khurusapha Printing) The Treasury Department has plans to renovate buildings on the 1-00-88 rai of state property which is formerly known as Khurusapha Printing, Wat Chana Songkhram, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok to be the Treasury Department’s learning center and community library. The subcommittee of​ conservation and development of Rattanakosin’s resolution on 28 November 2012 approved the Treasury Department’s proposal to renovate the former Khurusapha Printing buildings into a museum for the community. At present, the Treasury Department has presented a complete site plan to the Fine Arts Department for consideration and approval, and is preparing the site for renovation.

Project Plan in the Fiscal Year of 2013 Property Valuation The Surveys of State Property In the fiscal year 2012, the Treasury Department conducted the surveys of state property to ensure the complete collection of data such as data concerning documents proving ownership of land, state property maps, maps showing rental land, and maps showing illegally-occupied land. The surveys of state property will revaluation every 4 years. In year 2012, the Treasury Department will survey 30 million plots to support Land and Housing Act. Mint Production The TreaAsnurnyualDeRepparorttm2e01n2t The 16th Technical Meeting of Mints in ASEAN (TEMAN) 115 The conference will be held from May 26th to June 1st, 2013, and hosted by the Royal Thai Mint. The theme of the conference is “Partnership in Excellence”.  Representatives from central banks, mints, equipment and material suppliers around the world will gather in Pattaya to discuss and exchange information on all monetary matters and related issues in minting industry. The Royal Thai Mint Learning Center The Royal Thai Mint Learning Center will open in 2012. The Learning Center exhibits the history and development of Thai coinage and minting process as well as collections of beautifully crafted commemorative coins and medals plus information on exhibitions, events and learning.

Project Plan in the Fiscal Year of 2013 The Mint Production Line : LEAN Model Project The TreaAsnurnyualDeRepparorttm2e01n2t LEAN model for Mint production is a production practice that eliminates any waste during a 117 production process and also efficient lower cost and time in production process to gain more profit. For more efficient of mint production process, The Treasury Department has launched mint produc- tion line : LEAN model by Quality Control Circle : QCC Group in year 2013. The Construction of The Numismatic Museum Project The Treasury Department planned to improve the current building of Bureau of Monetary Management Office (Chakrapong Road) to be The Numismatic Museum , Bureau of Monetary Manage- ment Office will be moved to same piece of land of The Royal Thai Mint in Rangsit, Phatumthani. The project aims to transfer knowledge, data, activities of Thai’s numismatic and introduce the missions of The Treasury Department that concerning to minting production and national treasures. The Con- struction of the Numismatic Museum project has launched in year 2012 - 2016. The New Coin Management System Development Project The project was designed to re-structure and improve the efficiency of Thailand’s entire coin management system regarding the processes of transportation, management and performance enhancement, and coin exchange by establishing six regional coin management hubs.

Project Plan in the Fiscal Year of 2013 Grand National Treasures The exhibitions and display of Thailand’s Grand National Treasures The Treasury Department will extend the exhibitions area to 330 square meters, in order to improve pavilions which display the Royal insignias, Royal Thai Orders and Decorations, and coins in the Grand Palace. Moreover, the department also designed modern technologies for the exhibitions and display of Thailand’s Grand National Treasures. The project aims to drive the missions of the organization accomplished and also development of staff’s knowledge that concerning to the organization’s vision, mission, action plan, regulations, law and information​ technology. In order to prepare of staff’s knowledge to ASEAN Economic Community – AEC, The​ Treasury Department has organized several training courses and seminars of 25 projects in year 2013. The Public Relation Image of The Treasury Department Project The Treasury Department has many important projects. Most of the projects has effected to many types of stakeholders and need to public relation to concern them about role and mission of the organization. Public relation projects in year 2013 are as the followings : The 16th Technical Meeting of Mints in ASEAN (TEMAN) during 26 May - 1June 2013 at Pattaya, Chonburi province and Krabi province, the National Treasures project, the Property project, the Property Valuation Project and the 80th Anniversary of the Treasury Department.
