CollectivesforIntegratedLivelihoodInitiatives(CInI),establishedin2007,isanassociateorganization oftheTataTrusts.CInI,thenodalagencyforanchoringtheTrusts’CentralIndiaInitiative,ispresently executingafocusedprogramme‘Mission2020–LakhpatiKisan:SmartVillages’whichaimsatmaking nearlyonelakhtribalhouseholds‘Lakhpati’inanirreversibleandsustainablemannerwithincreased qualityoflifeandlifechoices. CInI’sfocusededucationprogrammeundertheMission2020aimsatenhancingthelearning-levels ofstudentsalongwithoveralldevelopment,asacriticalaspecttowardsenhancingtheoverallquality oflifeoftribalcommunities.TheprogrammeiscloselylinkedtotheRightofChildrentoFreeand CompulsoryEducation(RTE)Act,2009.ItisbeingdirectlyimplementedbyCInI,coveringmorethan 230schoolswithabout25,000students. ThemodellibrarydevelopmentworkinKhunti(Jharkhand)hasbeenundertakenasapartofthe programmesince2015withtheaimofinculcatingareadinghabitfromanearlyage.Alongwiththis, improvedandinnovativeteachingmethodsandtoolssuchasaprint-richenvironmentandaccessto resourcesfortriggeringimaginationandquickgraspofconceptsarealsobeingfocusedon.All programmesarebeingimplementedinclosecoordinationwiththecommunitymembersthrough theSchoolManagementCommitteestoensureownershipandsustainability.
