Hi There! My Name is Kamy Dhanoa, I’m an innovation enthusiast and entrepreneur with over 20 years of diverse industry experience. My core being in business development, sales, and marketing. Born in Kingston, raised in Montreal I started my career in Edmonton working with their Economic Development and Tourism team alongside the Research Park (startup incubator/accelerator) - a leap forward towards the overarching goal for Alberta’s industry diversification. In 2007, I moved to Ottawa- where I continued in various roles within the private, public, and startup sectors with a focus on business development and social impact. When the pandemic first came around, I saw how hard small business owners around Canada were hurting by the economic downturn. I knew I had to do something to help, and the POP TikR initiative was born. An economic recovery program, POP TikR links small businesses with the consumer directly and allows merchants to showcase their in-store and online promos to draw them to shop and tour locally. A feel-good and “Proudly Canadian” campaign that will see Canadians unite to support “local scenes” across the country.
