The celebration aimed to entertain as well as inform, with the goal of increasing awareness and respect for the history and culture of the English Language and the achievements of the innumerable writers, poets and playwrights. It was an immensely eventful day as department of English planned and organized many language enrichment activities like recitation of Sonnets, presentation of Shakesphers’ dramatic monologue, western music with instruments, action songs, and literary quiz etc, designed for various grades, which were educative as well as interesting. A Gallery to know more about William Shakesphere and his contribution to English Literature was set up in the auditorium and students were invited to visit the gallery to gather information. It was a great learning experience as the details were briefed up by student leaders who were placed to explain the charts and posters. Literary Quiz, which was aimed to test students’ knowledge, was very thrilling and some students stunned the audience with their spontaneous response. 29 APRIL 2022 , RAMADAN 28, 1443 AH To make Arabic language learning more interesting and to develop the students’ potential and ability to use their language skills competently and effectively, the Department of Arabic formed an Arabic Language Club 'ALIF' which was inaugurated by the school principal Mr. C.K.A Manaf on 25/04/2022 in the school auditorium. Ms. Smitha Vimal, the Academic Coordinator, released the Logo ‘ALIF- the Arabic Club officially in the occasion. Mr.Abdul Azeez , the Vice Principal, addressed the gathering and he summed up the relevance of Arabic language in the present world. Then,Mr.Hamzathali the Arabic department head, introduced the upcoming club activities. Students staged different cultural prorammes like Arabic dance, songs, and speech etc….during this function and all of them were informative and entertaining to the spectators. Mr.Midun Siddharth , the Admin Manager , Mrs.Lalitha Krasi , the Vice Principal, and Mr. Vaisakh, the Activity coordinator were present in the program. The program started at 10:50 with the welcome speech by Mr. Musthabshirudeen Sharqi and ended at 11:50 with the vote of thanks by Ms Hanan. 29 APRIL 2022 , RAMADAN 28, 1443 AH ORIENTATION TO FOLLOW STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT OIS Student Blooming Department At OIS, students' safety and security are of utmost importance. To make our school the Center of Excellence , we must ensure that all our students are in a safe ambiance. By doing so, it helps us to achieve the goals of improving students' achievement. Students must follow the Student's Code of Conduct and display positive behavior in and out of the classroom. On 26.04.2022 Tuesday, Ms. Sreejitha Venugopal the School Counselor conducted orientation for grade 3 to 12 students in the auditorium. She expounded the acceptable and unacceptable behavior of the students in the school environment. The different levels of offense will be granted to the students if they misconduct the student's code of conduct. In addition, she described the bullying that needs to be prohibitated in the school environment. Followed by it, the students took up a pledge on bullying - \"Be a buddy, not a bully.\" Ms. Smitha Vimal , the Academic Coordinator addressed the students in the meeting and she emphasised the significance of classroom discipline, respecting elders, and to follow proper mannerism in the school . Then Student Code of Conduct form was signed by the students to ensure and follow the rules and regulations of the school that would help them become good citizens for tomorrow. 29 APRIL 2022 , RAMADAN 28, 1443 AH CAREER COUNSELLING TO CLEAR WHAT IS NEXT ? Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology organized a career counselling on the topic “What to do after 12th standard” on 27th April 2022 Wednesday via zoom platform. Dr. PR Mahadevan Pillai, the Principal, Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology was the resource person for the session.Students of grade 9, 10& 12 attended the session and participated actively by gaining the knowledge and clearing their doubts regarding career plans and prospects. He discussed various ways how to opt a suitable career depending on one’s capabilities and potential. He talked about how to focus on a particular career and what are the efforts to be put in to make that dream true. He explained the scope of Engineering, Medical Science and Robotics in the meeting. The session was very informative, interactive and helpful to students as it gave them an insight into their future prospects.
