It is an annual event which is held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. Oasis International school celebrated 51st anniversary of earth day to impart environmental education to students and staff. This year’s theme for Earth Day was ‘Restore Our Earth’ and it focused on “Recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic is a chance to set the world on a cleaner, greener, more sustainable path,” The celebration began with the speech by Yashal Sajjad, 12B student about the importance of observing Earth day. Relna Denny led the students to take pledge to preserve and conserve their self-sustaining planet. Mohammed Daud of grade 5B sang an earth day song to add more colour to this celebration. In addition, the School initiated Kids Recycling Environment by collecting old plastic bottles and waste books from the students highlighting the theme - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. ‘Be a Designer’ was an innovative activity organized among primary students of the school .Students of grade 1 and 2 designed beautiful paper crown. Apart from it, Poster designing competition was conducted in Grade 3 and 4 to enhance students’ artistic skill on the topic ‘Save Our Earth’. Grade 5 and 6 students actively participated in micro green planting on the theme ‘Go-Green’. An improvised model making competition was held for grade 7 and 8 highlighting the theme ‘Best out Of Waste’. Students of grade 10, 11 and 12 actively participated in a power point making competition on highlighting the theme ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’. These competitions gave the students a platform to exhibit their artistic and creative skills.
