3rd - 9th of October Mental Health Awareness Week Mental Health Awareness Week (3rd to 9th of October) raises awareness of mental health conditions that are often misunderstood or aren't discussed much at all. The senior students of our school helped spread their knowledge under the guidance of Ms. Sangeetha & Ariya Ma’am on the topic verbally and through posters and charts, in the school campus. The theme for this year's Mental Heath week was 'Mental health in an unequal world' and was conducted throughout the week.

9th of October Seek Syndrome Seek Syndrome was held on the 9th of October. It was an interschool competition hosted by the International Indian School. Students from all over the U.A.E were handpicked to take part in the competition. The students were given a total time of 30 minutes to compile a take on a fully functioning (or mockup) safety app. Representing Team Wise, were Avanthika Das of Grade 3 & Aditya Krishna of Grade 9. Both Avanthika & Aditya had successfully bagged First Place respectively in the Sub Junior & Senior cateogories.

9th of October Novato Fiesta Team Ajman considers it a pleasure to welcome a highly vivacious and talented batch of children into our fold yet again this academic year. The Fresher's Day- Novato Fiesta, 2021 provided these youngsters with the perfect stage to showcase their talent in recitation, singing, dance and anything else they may be good at. All events were live, except for visual arts which have been presented in the form of a ppt or videos The Young Turks did an outstanding job and laid out a wonderful show, making the event a great success under the guidance of Ms. Deepa S. Kumar and the dance department.

24th of October DEAR Drop Everything And Read Held on 24th October 2021 from 8:35 till 8:55 was D.E.A.R, an all-time favorite reading event. This event was held for every single grade from 1 to 11. Teachers and students were in their classes (or their homes) and read their favourite books sitting together. The peaceful silence while reading was only broken by the faint sounds of pages turning over. Every single Bhavanite had gotten themselves immersed in their books. The students had utilized the opportunity arranged by the English department to dive into their creative imaginations with their book in hand. As the time ran out, we are pretty sure that they’re hoping for another exciting event to be held soon.

25th of October Art Exhibition Art is the creative expression of one’s ideas and imaginations. Art can communicate information, shape our everyday lives, make a social statement and be enjoyed for aesthetic beauty. On 25th October, students of grade 1 to 11 poured out their creativity with some of their spectacular artworks in the art exhibition to commemorate International Artist Day. The teacher incharge was Ms. Shilpa Abhiraj. This exhibition provided a platform for students to display their talent and motivated them to do their best.

28th of October Interhouse Quiz Competition There was an interhouse quiz competition based on the Indian National Army and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on 28th of October. The Bhavanites who were at school competed to answer as Mr. Jyoti Rajan presented the questions. The Bhavanites who were online received an assignment with the questions attached that had to be answered and submitted within the time frame. In the first position were the Hawks. The Kestrels achieved the second position. In the third place landed the Eagles and last but not the least were the falcons in the fourth place.

31st of October Basketball Competition The much-awaited Interhouse Basketball competition had started at WISE on the 31st of October. In the first match (Boys), Eagles VS Kestrels, the Powerful Eagles triumphed the Ferocious Kestrels. In the second match of the day (Boys), Falcons VS Hawks, the Energetic Hawks were stepped over by the Strong Falcons. The Finals and the Girls Basketball Competition will take place in November.

Assemblies The students of grade 1D held an assembly on 6th October 'the Heros of our Life'.They presented their artworks as a video followed by a speech from the special guest Ms. Sindu who is a nurse at Saudi German Hospital at Sharjah. Our Grandparents play a major role in our lives. Grade 1 E had their assembly with their grandparents. There was a cookery, talent show, song and a speech where the students and their grandparents showcased their compulsive skills. On the 17th of October, the students of Grade 9A conducted an assembly on the theme ‘Celebrating Music’ and presented to us the contrast between a world with music and a parallel universe, without music.It also shows the evolution of music, in a very nostalgic way. A spellbinding assembly themed 'Under the Sea' was conducted by grade 1 C. A creative dance performance, and a fascinating skit, was performed by them based on the aquatic life of marine species.

Assemblies Grade 9 B hosted an assembly- themed 'Australia' on 20th October. They displayed the diverse culture, cuisines (Pavlova) and monuments of Australia through a skit. To commemorate United Nations Day the students of grade 11 presented a very well structured assembly. They had a mock assembly showing the enthralled audience how the UN hosts a general debate on various topics. A beautiful assembly about the Arabic Language was conducted by the youngsters of 3B. They wonderfully did the introduction in Arabic and talked about UAE. A mesmerizing dance and music performance was also delivered by them.
