Her divine spiritual power, the relentless efforts to save and nurture mankind, the unconditional love showered upon all and the unbelievable guidance to enlighten our inner self has instilled awareness and strengthened a deep bond with nature. She has touched the hearts of millions through an embrace and the great contributions are countless. Amrita Nursery students chanted prayers during their online classes and were overwhelmed to exhibit their love for Amma by offering flowers and greeting cards. Amrita Vidyalayam students expressed their gratitude and love by making greeting cards and origami flower bouquets. They created videos of Amma’s service towards society and her journey was captured by some through clips and PPTs’. The students prayed for global peace and teachings of Amma were illuminated to the students by their respective teachers.

With the increase in cyber technology, cyber crime too has been an unavoidable truth of our day to day life. It is our responsibility to secure all online data transactions and important (personal & official) details. Additionally, we must be aware of the consequences if our data is misused, steps to retrieve the same and whom to approach to if you are threatened online or a part of cyber bullying. Amrita Vidyalayam provided neccesary information related to cyber security, cyber crime and Do's and Dont's to their students. As responsible citizens, let us all be educated to understand the cyber system and lead a crime-free life. GANDHI JAYANTI 2nd October 2021 marked the 152nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, fondly called as the “Father of the Nation.” In his remembrance, the entire nation observes this day as a Day of Nonviolence. Students from classes Nursery - X could not restrict themselves from participating and delivering some interesting speeches and bhajans. Some colourful posters were painted to mark his birthday.

This year, the day marks the 104th birth anniversary of the first woman Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. The day is celebrated to encourage people about unity, peace, love, and brotherhood among them. Besides being diverse in the Indian society in terms of culture, multiple languages, religions, geographical diversity, etc. the day promotes harmony. Students from classes VI and VII of Amrita Vidyalayam, designed a few eye-catching posters and delivered speech on the occasion of National Integration Day. Insights were shown by the respective SST teachers and emphasis on the national integration modules was made. Quotes by Indira Gandhi and the importance of the day was discussed during the session. CONSTITUTION DAY Constitution Day,also known as the \"National Law Day\" or “SAMVIDHAN DIWAS”, is celebrated in India on 26 November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. On 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted to the Constitution of India, and it came into effect on 26 January 1950. Hundreds of years of dependence pushed India into several problems. The India that was once called a golden bird was suffering from poverty, starvation, among other issues. In that background, the Constitution has always helped us in taking the nation forward. 26 November was chosen to spread the importance of the constitution and to spread thoughts and ideas of Ambedkar. Students of Amrita Vidyalayam came up with some interesting posters and PPT’s as their respective teachers taught them the importance of this day.
AMRITA2N02I1D-2H2 I NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY Every year on the 14th of December, Indians around the country commemorate National Energy Conservation Day. This day reminds us to utilize energy efficiently in order to reduce consumption and prevent energy loss. Any activity that leads to the use of less energy is referred to as energy conservation. Conserving energy may be as simple as turning off lights when leaving a room and recycling aluminium cans. Students of classes VI –IX designed unplug reminders, posters, slogans etc to aid the cause of energy conservation. The posters and reminders help us use less energy by ignoring excessive and inefficient consumption. NATIONAL MATH DAY National Mathematics Day is celebrated on 22 December every year to celebrate the birthday of world-renowned Indian mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanuja. The celebration takes place as a mark to appreciate his contributions in mathematics and for making a name of India in the field of mathematics. The Amritians celebrated this wonderful day as their respective Math teachers (of std I to VII) initiated a few interesting activities such as painting through shapes, popularly known as the Warli Art, Mandala Art, Fraction Art Scenery, Magic with numbers, Drawings using various shapes etc. Learning about the importance of buying and saving their bills was a part of the day. Students made posters about the history of great mathematicians.
KISAN DIWAS AMRITA2N02I1D-2H2 I Farmers are the backbone of India's economy and a significant contributor to rural prosperity. Every year, Farmers' Day is observed to raise awareness and to honour and appreciate all the responsible farmers for their contributions to society. In India, Farmers' Day, or Kisan Diwas, is celebrated on the 23rd of December every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mr. Choudhary Charan Singh, India's fifth Prime Minister. Amritians of class I – VI expressed their deepest gratitude towards farmers through various activities such as painting posters, dance, speech, songs and via poems. The visuals of these activities may seem to be coiled within the video, but we are sure, class activities like these will leave a long lasting impact on each student. MAKAR SANKRANTI Pongal means ‘to overflow’. The time when human mankind’s love for nature and nature’s love for the human mankind overflow- that is Pongal. - AMMA Teachers of classes I – V celebrated Makar Sankranti with their beloved students. They informed about the importance and the traditions followed by some interesting activities. Icecream stick kites and paper kites were made, traditional thalis were decorated with sweets and fruits. Pongal pots were painted beautifully. Greeting cards were designed with handwritten messages and wishes for their near and dear ones.
REPUBLIC DAY 2022 The spirit of unity and of being one nation is celebrated each year on the 26th of January. We believe that patriotism strengthens the sense of duty among all the citizens, especially children and hence Republic Day was celebrated virtually by our students. However, the staff of Amrita Vidyalayam, Juinagar physically celebrated this day in a ‘low-key affair’ due to the ongoing pandemic situation where certain criterias (eg. Maintaining adequate physical distancing and being masked throughout the function) had to be taken into consideration. Pujya swami, Avyayamritanandapuriji was greeted by everyone and the celebration began as he urflured the national flag. The National Anthem was sung by all after the Flag Salute. Swamiji then addressed the staff with a short speech where he not only remembered the great freedom fighters who showed incomparable courage in the pursuit of the dream of Swaraj, but also saluted the value of Indian Fraternity – all our frontline workers, doctors, paramedics, nurses, healthcare administrators and most importantly the teachers who ensured that the education for all their students continued. The quadrangle resonated with the sound of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Jai Hind” as the entire staff repeated these slogans with swamiji’s unshakable voice. A melodious patriotic song “Aye Watan, aye watan humko teri kasam” was sung by Ms. Sumita Sarkar (Music tr), Ms. Asawari and Ms. Shikha. It was indeed enjoyed by everyone.The school Principal, Ms. Kanchan Dayal took up the stage and spoke a few lines on how the entire nation came together to strengthen each other by celebrating ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. Our school’s active participation contributes as our fundamental and sacred national duty towards the nation. Students of AV expressed their patriotism through various class activities.

MARATHI BHASHA DIWAS Marathi Language Day is celebrated on February 27 every year across Maharashtra to honour the birth anniversary of Vi. Va. Shirwadkar, fondly known as ‘Kusumagraj’. He was an eminent Marathi poet, playwright, novelist, short story writer and humanist.The day is celebrated to recognise and honour the greatness of Marathi literature. The Marathi language, which contains some of the oldest literature of all modern Indo- Aryan languages, is one of the most spoken languages in India with 42 dialects. Amrita Vidyalayam teachers and students left no stone unturned while celebrating Marathi Bhasha Diwas. Students sang Marathi song, recited some famous poems and danced on a few interesting Marathi songs. Teachers too, could not resist themselves from singing the famous “Labhale Amhas Bhagya Bolato Marathi”. This song represents the Marathi language and elevates the zest and pride to another level. It makes one realize the importance of Mother tongue, ‘Marathi’ to the people of Maharashtra.
NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY The “NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY” celebration honours Sir C. V. Raman's exceptional contribution to research and discovery by providing hope and inspiration to future generations to pursue their dreams. Science has pushed us to our limits and everything around us is indeed a product of science.NSD was celebrated in Amrita Vidyalayam, Juinagar in their respective classes from grade I – VIII. The students participated with full enthusiasm and their scientific creativity was displayed at its best. The primary classes of I-V displayed their artistic calibre through poster making activity on topics ranging from Our Earth and its Surroundings, My Family and Friends etc. The middle school students of classes VI – VII portrayed an excellent amalgamation of their dramatic and scientific skills. The activities ranged from role plays depicting the persona of famous scientists. The young scientists also displayed various experiments and explained their scientific reasons too. The higher graders of class VIII honed their technological skills by creating documentaries on unsung scientific heroes of India like Satish Dhawan, Shankar A Bhise, Anna Mani etc. The NMMC also joined in the celebration by suggesting activities like Rangoli making, Essay Writing on creative topics like ‘science in kitchen’, ‘future transportation’ etc. which witnessed eager participation from all the students of AV.

AMRITA2N02I1D-2H2 I DAY Blue day was celebrated by our tiny tots on a virtual platform. The color was introduced by the respective teachers as a primary color. The color of the sky and ocean is blue. Blue color symbolizes serenity,stability,inspiration,trust,loyalty,wisdom,faith, confidence and intelligence. Age appropriate activities were designed to promote their eye-hand co-ordination, enhance their listening skills and learn the concept in Play-Way method. All our kids enthusiastically participated in blue day celebration and enjoyed the activity. GREEN DAY Decked up in their favorite green attire, students made their way to do something exciting for the 'GREEN DAY'. From collecting leaves which were fallen on the ground to making a tree followed by thumb printing (leaves), students enjoyed every moment invested for the activity.Children were introduced to different shades of green colour. They also enjoyed vegetable(ladyfinger) dabbing as they enthusiastically participated in the activity.
AMRITA2N02I1D-2H2 I RED DAY Amrita Nursery students celebrated Red Day on the 11th of December and were thrilled to do some interesting activities like Potato printing (Ladybug), Origami (Crab and Cherries). All were dressed in red attire and enjoyed every moment at their heart's content. ANGED OR AY An interesting story on the 'Orange' colour was shown to students of class Nursery. They were introduced to the colour mixing concept and to pep up the joy, every student was present in orange colour dress. Paper Tearing (Pumpkin) was enjoyed by all the nursery students. YELLOW DAY Amrita Nursery celebrated Yellow Day 2021. This vibrant colour represents joy. It’s a colour that escalates everybody's happiness to an undefined measure. Our students learnt about this colour and its various shades. Their smiles could not be ignored as they turned a simple origami yellow paper to cute little chicks and bright shining sun. Our Nursery tots were overwhelmed to create their favourite popcorns from cotton balls, dipped in bright yellow colour.
GURUPOORNIMA AMRITA2N02I1D-2H2 I CELEBRATION The auspicious occasion of Gurupoornima was celebrated virtually by our Amrita Nursery students. Teachers shared the importance of being grateful towards their elders and parents. While our youngest kindergarten souls enjoyed an activity of paper crumbling and pasting on a sheet to make a beautiful flower, Jr.Kg and Sr.Kg students came up with thumb printing on the Padukas and greeting cards as a token of their love towards their gurus. Some students enthusiastically orated shlokas and a left us mesmerised with a thanksgiving speech. GOPALKALA CELEBRATION TO LOVE WITHOUT CONDITION , TO TALK WITHOUT INTENTION, TO GIVE WITHOUT REASON AND TO GIVE WITHOUT EXPECTATION, THAT’S THE SPIRIT OF TRUE LOVE. - BHAGAVAD GEETA Gopalkala was celebrated by Amrita Nursery students on 30th August 2021. Students were dressed exclusively in bright coloured outfits, posing as Krishnas’ and Radhas’ followed by various fun. A video on Krishna janamashtami was shown to students and teachers orated a few interesting incidence to the students. Nursery tots learnt to make Krishna’s MUKUT (Crown) with craft paper. They then decorated it and sang bhajans and recited a few shlokas from the Bhagawad Geeta. ‘DAHI HANDI’ was decorated by our Jr.Kg and Sr.Kg students after they knew the story of Lord Krishna and how important was ‘Makhan’ to him. The day wrapped as kids grooved to the tunes of Krishna's flute. GANESH CHATURTHI Our Amrita Nursery students learnt to mould Ganesha using clay, made paper-plate Ganesha and sweets using play dough. Their joy unfolded several times as the Ganesha was being formed by their delicate hands. Their twinkling eyes narrated the story of their happiness and their smile indicated they were all set to welcome their Bappa home.Sit back and enjoy their devotional ride towards welcoming their favourite Bappa.
AMRITA2N02I1D-2H2 I DUSHERA 2021 The auspicious nine days of Navratri followed by Dussehra marks the victory of Lord Ram over Ravan and the victory of good over evil. Our Nursery students enjoyed their fist and leaf printing.The preprimary students enjoyed being dressed for garba and dandiya session, which was taken during the class after they were shown a short video about Navratri and Dussehra. LDREN'S CHI DAY AmritaNursery teachers turned their toddlers into New-Gen scientists with an interesting science experiment. The Jr. and Sr.Kg teachers made special videos of hand puppet, dance, greeting cards and origami art work. Children too, were dressed as their favourite #rolemodel and orated a few lines with great confidence. CHRISTMAS 2021 Christmas, the festival of joy, sharing and giving was celebrated by our Amrita Nursery students. Teachers wished their students \"Merry Christmas\". The virtual christmas celebration had its own taste of enjoyment as nursery students made the christmas tree with ice cream sticks and decorated it. A short video on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ was shown. Children tapped their feet to the tunes of ' we wish you a Merry Christmas' song and with great excitement. Jr.Kg students, who were dressed in party wear made origami Santa and welcomed him with songs.
