Psychologists says that reward system help a lot to motivate our students to achieve more and per- form better. MERIT EVENING in BPWS is the proud occasion in which we celebrate the success of our hard-working young students. It is the annual award ceremony in which we recognize, reward, and honour our budding stars, not only in co-cur- ricular activities but also in Academic accomplishments. This yearly award cere- mony is among our most treasured occasions of the school year as it provides us with the opportunity to reflect on the preceding year and share the achievements and accomplishments of our students with their parents and the entire communi- ty. Each school has its own atmosphere and personality and in Bhavans Pearl Wis- dom School, it is unique, especially in the context of recognizing and rewarding students for their achievements in CCA and Academics. We have a customized student award policy and programs in place, and we have developed a system to reward students’ performance, efforts and improvements. We believe that such a solid program will definitely encourage and develop a sense of accomplishment and achievement that students can carry with them for the rest of their lives. We strongly believe that BPWS is one of those schools which has such an effective and strong program to reward all our achievers right from KG which we have developed over the last two years. Our school truly believes that good education plays a vital role in building a bright future for our children. Therefore, here we are committed in providing a positive learning environment to our students where they all get equal opportu- nities to learn, grow and excel. During the Academic year 2020-21, we had conducted around 90 CCA events in various categories in KG section alone and around 184 events in various cat- egories in Primary and Middle School section. This includes CCA competitions, Non -competitive items and various events and celebrations. Under the banner of Bhavans Kinder Fest we had conducted around 34 competitions in various categories in KG. Around 104 competitions were conducted as a part of Bha- vans Fest in primary and Middle school sections. BHAVANS PEARL WISODM SCHOOL MONTHLY NEWSLETTER The Unconditional LOVE (Mother’s Day) The celebration of Mother’s Day is one of the most popular occasions, especially for children. A mother is the emblem of love and she displays all the affection she has for her children selflessly. The kindergarten students of BPWS were given an opportunity to express their love and affection for their moth- ers. Tiny tots of kindergarten did T-shirt painting activity specially as a present for their mom. They made a heart and wrote “ I love you mom with paint”. As students love paint and they were given an opportunity to make something for the person they love the most. They really enjoyed and made good memories through the celebration. BHAVANS PEARL WISODM SCHOOL MONTHLY NEWSLETTER ‘It’s all about generosity & gratitude’ (Eid-al-Fitr) Eid-al-Fitr, which means the “Festival of the Breaking of the Fast”, marks the end of Ramadan. The festival is cele- brated all over the world with joy & happiness. Our tiny tots of BPWS celebrated the Eid festival on 13th May 2021 with great enthusiasm. Students were shown a small video presentation on Eid and they learned about the importance of this festival. Before leaving for the Eid holidays our creative little hands made Eid souvenirs for their parents to wish them, Eid Mubarak, with the assis- tance of the teachers and they enjoyed the day with full festival mode. BHAVANS PEARL WISODM SCHOOL MONTHLY NEWSLETTER The unbreakable BOND (International Family Day) “Family is not an important thing. It’s everything.” – Michael J. Fox. The International Day of Families is observed on the 15th May every year. The main aim of celebrating Interna- tional family day is to promote the importance of a well-balanced and healthy family. It reminds us that all families don’t look alike and it also highlights the importance of family in society. In BPWS International Family day was celebrated on 15th May 2021 to understand the value of each member of the family. The kindergarten students participated enthusiastically and made a family photo frame to highlight the importance of family in one’s life and the bonding shared between the family members. BHAVANS PEARL WISODM SCHOOL MONTHLY NEWSLETTER “Colours are the smiles of nature” (Colours week) Colours play a vitally important role in the world we live. It can sway thinking, change actions and cause reaction. Kids love colours and playing with different colours makes them happy and learn better. The Kindergarten students of BPWS celebrated colours week with fun and enthusiasm from 23rd to 27th May, the entire week was truly fruitful. The week was designed to help the children to identify and differentiate various co- lours, talk about them with different colours. The students came dressed in the respective colours on each day. The celebration continued the whole week wherein the children participated in various activities like heart finger printing, smudge painting, pineapple making and cater- pillar making. (Recycling Day) Introducing the idea of recycling can be a great stepping stone to other waste reduction practices like zero waste and plastic free living. Teaching your kids to recycle is a good way to help ensure that the upcoming generations will grow up, appreciating our planet and understand their role in preserving it. The students of Kindergarten were made aware of the different ways they can recycle waste through video and stories. They also made a bag out of waste newspaper and painted it using their favourite colours. They created something so useful and beautiful out of simple wasted newspaper. BHAVANS PEARL WISODM SCHOOL MONTHLY NEWSLETTER MOM- Master of Motivation (Mother’s Day) “A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take.” Mother’s Day is a celebration honoring the mother, as well as motherhood, maternal bond and influence of mothers in society. To show the love and respect to their mothers, the young, enthusiastic and adorable Pearls of our school celebrated this most special day with lots of fun activities and some memorable performances. Tiny tots came up with their presentation of songs, rhymes and dance to convey gratitude to their moms for their unconditional love. The moms as well as the students had a splendid time together in various fun games. We at BPWS, celebrated Mother’s Day to let our Amazing and Loving Moms know that how much we appreciate their remarkable strength and perseverance in making their child the best!! The students were asked to shoot a vid- eo with their mothers. It was a pleasure watching the super excited moms with their dynamic and energetic children during these activities. BHAVANS PEARL WISODM SCHOOL MONTHLY NEWSLETTER Heads up ROLES & RESPONSIBILTIES (INVESTITURE CEREMONY) The Investiture Ceremony is a solemn occasion where all the young students are prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them by the school. The second virtual Investiture Ceremony of Bhavans Pearl Wisdom School, Al Ain was held successfully on Thursday, 20th May 2021 at 5.30 pm, on zoom virtual platform. The students, parents and all the faculty members joined the ceremony. The honourable Vice Chairman of Bhavans Middle East Mr. Sooraj Ramachandran was the Chief Guest of the Day. The ceremony began with the UAE National Anthem, followed by the Indian National Anthem, verses from the holy Qur’an, school prayer and the Bhavans Anthem. Mr. Sooraj K., the faculty of the Department of Mathematics delivered the welcome address. Then the conferral of the badges and sashes by the parents took place at the res- idences of the elected leaders of the school. Soon after that, the Principal Dr. K T Nandakumar administered the oath to the new office bearers. The Head Boy Master Mannis Manoj and the Head Girl Ms. Malarini Selvan delivered their acceptance speech. The Music teacher of the school Mr. Vishal Arun Ram entertained the audience with a felicitation song. Then the Chief Guest addressed the gathering and motivated the newly elected leaders. The ceremony aimed at inculcating leadership and public speaking qualities among the students. Even it aroused the healthy competitive spirit among them while contesting for the school parliament election online. BHAVANS PEARL WISODM SCHOOL MONTHLY NEWSLETTER BLESSINGS ALL AROUND (EID AL-FITR) Eid al-Fitr, also called the “Festival of Breaking the Fast” is a religious festival celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-dusk fasting of Ramadan. It falls on the first day of Shawwal in the Islamic calendar; this does not always fall on the same Gregorian day, as the start of any lunar Hijri month varies based on when the new moon is sighted by local religious authorities. The Bhavans Pearl Wisdom School, Al Ain celebrated Eid Al Fitr on 10th May 2021, by conducting various activi- ties for the students. The students from grade 1 to 9 beautifully designed and created their own Eid Greeting Cards. The holy Quran Recitation, reciting Hadeeth and translating the same into English were other activities conducted in connection with the Eid Celebration 2021. All the students took part in these activities with great interest. These activities gave them an insight into the importance of the Eid celebration, which is also a part of the Islamic culture of the UAE. BHAVANS PEARL WISODM SCHOOL MONTHLY NEWSLETTER Learning the NEXT LEVEL (Interactive Panel Workshop) Interactive flat displays in the classroom enhance communication between teachers and students and encourage collaboration amongst classmates. By integrating technology into learning spaces, you are bringing a whole host of benefits to your students and their learning outcomes. On Saturday the 22nd of May’21, a representative from SHARP visited the school and gave proper guidance to operate the panel. The explanation defined the advantages and made all the teachers understand how easy it is to handle the panel. And also introduced an application named E-share with us. It is a memorable event in the history of the institution. It is held and marks the end of the academic year. The prize distribution in Bhavans Pearl Wisdom School was held on the 8th&9th June 2021. It was held Online. The Chairman, Vice Chairman and Director of Education were invited to preside over the function. The occasion was graced by our Guest of Honor Dr. Raja- kumar Manickam MBBS. MS (General Surgery) Specialist General Surgeon Orthoplus Bone & Joint Centre and Mr. Yasal Arab Centre Manager Burjeel Medical Centre Barari Al Ain. The event was organized to acknowledge and celebrate the talents and relentless hard work of the students that enabled them to achieve success in the fields of academics, sports, social service and cultural activities. In the course of the event, more than hundred prizes were distributed by the principal and Director to honour the talents and success of students in various ar- eas including Sports, Academics, Cultural Activities and others.
