1. BRIDAL MARCH 2. OPENING PRAYER 3. WORSHIP (MEDLEY OF SONGS) 4. BIBLE READING: Ephesians 5:25-33 Read by Subomi Olowe25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleans- ing[a] her by the washingwith waterthrough the word, 27 and to present her to him- self as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wivesas their own bodies. He who loves his wife loveshimself. 29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— 30 for we are members of his body.31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”[b] 32 This is a profound mystery—but I am talking aboutChrist and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. 5. HYMN: Immortal, Invisible Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days, Almighty, victorious, Thy great name we praise. Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,Nor wanting, nor wasting, Thou rulest in might; Thy justice like mountains high soaring above Thy clouds which are fountains of goodness and love. To all life Thou givest, to both great and small; In all life Thou livest, the true life of all; We blossom and flourish as leaves on the tree, And wither and perish, but nought changeth Thee. Great Father of Glory, pure Father of Light Thine angels adore Thee, all veiling their sight; All laud we would render, O help us to see: ’Tis only the splendor of light hideth Thee. Immortal, invisible, God only wise, In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days, Almighty, victorious, Thy great name we praise.
6. JOINING & BLESSING OF THE COUPLE PASTORAL INTRODUCTION The Minister addresses the congregation Marriage is a gift of God in creation through which husband and wife may know the grace of God as His blessing enables them love and support each other in prosperity and in adversity. As man and woman grow together inlove and trust, they are united with one another in heart, body and mind, asChrist is united with His bride, the Church. It is a way o f l ife made holy by God and our Lord Jesus Christ honoured those celebrating a wedding at Cana in Galilee by His presence, also performing His first miracle there. The gift of marriage brings husband and wife to- gether in the delight and tenderness of sexual union and joyful commit- ment to one another to the end of their lives. It is given as the foundation of family life in which children areborn and nurtured and in which each member of the family may find strength, companionship and comfort, growing to maturity in love. It is based upon a solemn, public and life-long covenant between a man and a woman, declared and celebrated in the presence
of God and before witnesses. No one should enter into it lightly or selfishly but reverently and responsibly. In the presence of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, we have come together to witness the marriage of Emmanuel Irivboje and Folashade Faith, to pray for God’s blessing on them, to share their joy and celebrate their love.We pray with them that the Holy Spirit will guide and strengthen them, that they may fulfil God’s purposes for the whole of their earthly life together.

and have sons and daughters; find wives for your sons and give your daughters in marriage, so that they too may have sons and daughters. Increase in number there; donot decrease.7 Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” 8 Yes, this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “Do not let the prophets and diviners among you deceive you. Do not listen to the dreams you encourage them to have. 9 They are prophesying lies to you in my name. I have not sent them,” declares the Lord.10 This is what the Lord says: “When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my good promise to bring you back to this place. 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harmyou, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
8. HYMN: In Christ Alone In Christ alone my hope is found, He is my light, my strength, my song; This Cornerstone, this solid Ground,Firm through the fiercest drought and storm. What heights of love, what depths of peace, When fears are stilled, when strivings cease! My Comforter, my All in All, Here in the love of Christ I stand. In Christ alone! - who took on flesh, Fullness of God in helpless babe. This gift of love and righteousness, Scorned by the ones He came to save: Till on that cross as Jesus died, The wrath of God was satisfied - For every sin on Him was laid; Here in the death of Christ I live. There in the ground His body lay, Light of the world by darkness slain: Then bursting forth in glorious day Up from the grave He rose again! And as He stands in victory Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me, For I am His and He is mine - Bought with the precious blood of Christ. No guilt in life, no fear in death, This is the power of Christ in me; From life’s first cry to final breath, Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man, Can ever pluck me from His hand: Till He returns or calls me home, Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand. 9. SERMON 10. SIGNING OF MARRIAGE REGISTER 11.
