161Prachuap Khiri Khan Travel Guide It is the center of Buddhism located in Ang Thong Subdistrict Community and the Office of Dharma Practice. It was built since 1931 with a chapel, Viharn Luang Pu Khiao. Former abbot Phra Kechi Achan who respects the faith of the villagers. There is peaceful and beautiful inside. The outside, there is also “Phra Maha Chedi Sri Prachuap”, elegant, outstanding, unique. It constructed since 2007, it houses a magnificent jade-green Buddha image from Myanmar and Luang Pho Tanjai. In front of the Great Chedi, there are two elephants. At present, the building is being built for the enshrining of Somdej Ong Pathom and the Buddha in the nirvana.

This is a place to commemorate the honor of Luang Phu Muang, one of the elder monks in the reign of King Rama 5 who was very revered by the villagers. He was a pioneer who built a footpath, leading up to the cave and the mold of Buddha, in which was the Buddha Saiyas.
