Rabbit Becomes a Chef Author: Chammi Iresha Illustrator: Chamath Prasanga Lokuliyana Translator: Magdalena Cooper
“Every day, I eat only raw carrots,” Rabbit said to herself. 2/16
\"I'm tired of raw carrots!\" 3/16
“What can I do to make these better?\" 4/16
That afternoon, she went to farmer's house and saw a pot boiling over the fire. 5/16
Just as she started to have an idea the farmer’s dog came barking after her. 6/16
“Hmm,\" thought rabbit. \"What should I do now?\" 7/16
Rabbit tried leaving the carrots in the sun. But, the carrots remained just as raw as before. 8/16
Then, she tried putting them in the fire. When she tasted them, they were bitter! 9/16
She thought and thought and thought about what to do. 10/16
Finally, she had an idea! First, she found an old tortoise shell. 11/16
Then, she collected some sticks 12/16
And three stones. 13/16
Hooray! Rabbit finally had a way too cook her carrots. 14/16
She was so excited that she invited all her friends. 15/16
And they all had a meal of delicious cooked carrots. 16/16
