ONLINE ON ARGUS “Technology will not replace great teachers but technology in The hands of greaT Teachers can be TransformaTional” - George Couros. Today in education, technology can be a game changer, for children who are both in school and at home. Technology has the power to bridge the quality gaps and bring textbooks to life. It is the lens through which we experience much of our world. I am pleased that the teachers and the students, have successfully and positively accepted the change and transitioned to a new learning ecosystem – ARGUS. Starting online classes on Argus was challenging, but exhaustive training sessions, technical guidance and parental support have now helped us to conduct classes smoothly on this new platform. The new journey is sure going to be challenging but a joyful one. This personalised and adaptive learning platform with self-learning videos and assessments will not only help the students grasp the concept but also give a comprehensive report to the parents and the teachers about the progress of the student. Ankita Mathur. Coordinator.

MAKING A BOOKMARK

“With hard work, learning English, and getting involved, there is no limit on what you can achieve.” - Arnold Schwarzenegger Character Dramatization: Dramatization is an excellent activity for learning and developing spoken and presentation skills. One small action is more powerful than reading hundreds of course books. It provides an opportunity for learners to assume roles of others and thus appreciate another point of view. It allows for exploration of situations and provides an opportunity to practice skills. Grade 2 conducted this activity during the English Literary Week. The students were asked to dress up as one of their favourite characters (from any story book, cartoon etc), and enact that character. Our dear little stars carried out this activity by displaying amazing talents with a lot of enthusiasm, which was a reflection of creative imagination through words and expressions.

VOCABULARY WORD BUILDING A robust vocabulary improves all areas of communication — listening, speaking, reading and writing. Vocabulary helps children to think and learn about the world. Expanding a child's knowledge of words provides unlimited access to new information. Word building helps to build spelling skills. It also helps students to understand how letter symbols relate to letter sounds. This activity was conducted to expand student’s experience, exposure to words, and to help build up confidence and expressive skills of the children. Students were shown a Sway which had a collection of tasks like Guess the Word, Spell the Word of the given picture, Jumbled words, Complete the word with missing vowels, etc. Each student was given a chance to answer and they thoroughly enjoyed this activity. They learned many new words and developed and upgraded their word bank.
