COMPANY OVERVIEW Gutmann PVB is a regional manu- facturer specializing in polyvinyl butyral (PVB) safety laminated glass interlayer, used for applica- tions that require strong bonds with optical transparency. It is an off-shoot manufacturing plant of German made GUTMANN Group. Gutmann PVB’s main facility is located in the heart of the industrial zone of Dubai, UAE. The plant is equipped with fully automated machinery and advanced technology to produce high quality PVB interlayers. Gutmann PVB adheres to stringent quality standards and have acquired ISO certification in 2022. Our product is designed to enhance the functionality of glass and create innovative solutions for applications in safety and security, automotive, sound insulation and UV protection as well as decorative applications for interior design projects and energy saving applications. Although a new player in the market as a PVB interlayer producer, our strategic location and hub, coupled with superior quality of product and automation makes us an ideal supplier. OUR MISSION OUR PRINCIPLE Our mission is to regionally manufacture German Our guiding principles are based on commitment, quality Poly Vinyl Butyral interlayers (PVB) used for reliability and efficiency, these gear us towards high safety-glass laminates in all applications, utilizing quality, performance and innovation in product and state of the art technology and automation for effi- application. With the skills and commitment of our cient production. employees, we can produce trusted products of superior quality at competitive prices. OUR VISION Our vision is to be a global manufacturer and suppli- er of international standard PVB interlayers for the laminated safety-glass industry, creating a brand name synonymous with trusted superior quality.
Product Overview Polyvinyl butyral (PVB) is a tough, clear and colourless thermoplastic obtained by a condensation reaction of polyvinyl alcohol and butyraldehyde. The resin formed is known for its flexibility, adhesion and water-resistant properties as well as UV resistance. After casting, a soft sheet thickness 0.38mm – 1.52mm and 2.28mm of non-toxic layer is formed, which when bonded to glass creates a strong and durable safety glass laminate. Whether used for protecting people or property from mother nature or man-made threats, Gutmann PVB adds safety and security to laminated glass with a diverse range of applications for interior and exterior. By holding glass fragments in place, thereby, eliminating injury from flying shards and maintaining form and integrity of building or structure envelope. Properties and Characteristics Gutmann PVB interlayers possess great adhesive qualities with superior thermal and water resistance. Their durability and strength coupled with high transparency are applicable in various industries such as automotive, construction and security. Gutmann PVB produces a range of ADVANTAGES Interlayer Glass Laminates Long Shelf Life Gutmann PVB Ultra Clear Thermal stability Gutmann PVB Structural Water Resistance Gutmann PVB Acoustic Recyclable and reusable Gutmann PVB Solar Control Customizable widths up to 3.30m Gutmann PVB Automotive
Gutmann PVB Ultra Clear Interlayer Provides multiple uses across many industries due to the high levels of security and penetration resistance features of slowing down impact of external forces, and elimination of scattered glass fragments. Glass once shattered will adhere to the PVB interlayer thereby eliminating injury from dispersed shards. Additionally, GUTMANN PVB ultra clear offers protection from harmful UV radiation and reduces heat generated by sun exposure. Because PVB interlayers possess low thermal conductivity, they act as a filter and re- duce fading or damage to items susceptible to prolonged sun exposure. Applications: Bullet Resistant Glass Bomb Protection for Embassies, consulates, government and high-risk buildings Anti-shatter Balustrades and Shop fronts and Windows Provides security and protection against vandalism and burglary Also best suited for ** Gutmann PVB ultra clear comes in customizable widths up to 3.60m Museums, archives, and galleries where artworks and books are mostly affected by solar rays Greenhouses, botanical gardens and conservatories where high temperatures may be prevalent Restaurants, hotels and resorts Hospitals Shop windows Schools and Universities Libraries PVB CLOSER TO HOME. Gutmann PVB Structural Interlayer Provides superior strength and stiffness and post-glass breakage safety which is ideal for structural applications in countries prone to severe weather like hurricanes, tornadoes or hostile environments. Architects are showing increased interest in laminated glass that combinessafety and clarity, creating strong bonds with transparent characteristics to achieve architectural requirements. Applications and uses are primarily focused Architectural structures with overhead glazing, skylights and canopies, Balustrades in commercial and residential use. Hanging glass bridges Glass structures and windows in countries prone to hurricanes, tornadoes and severe weather
Gutmann PVB Acoustic Interlayer Significantly reduce noise pollution and allow for acoustic insulation. In areas with high traffic or noise, interlayers provide protection and sound control, creating acceptable and healthy conditions Great applications in: Transport industry, where noise levels are high such as airport, bus and train stations Concert arenas and auditoriums Neighbourhoods and communities in high traffic areas Recording studios Gutmann PVB Solar (PV) Presented for the use in photovoltaic modules. The two layers of PVB and glass that form this strong lamination are placed directly on the circuit to ensure protection against envi- ronmental conditions, thereby insuring durability and proper function of the pv module. Applications are in photovoltaic panels and modules. Gutmann PVB Automotive Basically used with all glass materials in cars, ships and yachts, such as windshield screens and windows and roofs, to protect against head injuries and flying glass shards. Applications are in windshields and windows for automobiles, ships and yachts.
