Activity Report 2020-21 “Learning gives creativity, creativity leads to thinking, thinking provides knowledge and knowledge makes you great”. To expand the learning experience and in our journey to discover excellence in the field of education, holistic development of every child is prime responsibility. To achieve that, we organized various virtual activities ranging from classes LKG- XII like dances, music, art, and craft, literary, life skills, soft skills, sports etc. The enthusiasm shown by the students was par excellent throughout the session 2020-21. Although the whole world was affected by pandemic and educational intuitions were shut down, even then the teachers and students kept the journey for excellence on. We understand that the personality of students is sharpened only when students are exposed to experiential learning and art integration, co-curricular activities etc. Just academic excellence is not enough to groom 21st century citizens. We conducted more than 15 Inter House competitions, approximately 30 Art and Craft activities, around 12 Club activities, 25 Class assemblies, 28 Sports activities besides National festivals and School Annual Day function. Also, we organized expert talks on special days. The thought for the day and good morning messages kept the students motivated. Challenges also provide opportunity to adapt to the new ways of life. Face Mask Making Activity Class -VI During this tough time that we all are facing COVID-19 pandemic we have to take precautions and care for ourselves as well as for others. For this our students of class 6 were given the activity of mask making. All the students participated actively under the guidance of the Art teacher. International Collaboration British Council –IDS Project on Traditional Games of India (14-01-2021) IDS project was conducted virtually with Mexico on the topic ‘Traditional Games’. INTER-HOUSE ENGLISH DEBATE CONTEST (1/12/2020) In order to enhance and assess the students’ debating and oratory skills, an online Inter-house English Debate Contest was organised on 1st December 2020. Training and Interactions First Virtual Interaction with Deputy CEO and RH A Virtual Meeting was organized on 6th October 20 at 3pm to welcome Mrs Jyotsna Saxena (Deputy CEO-ABG of Schools) and Mrs. Nita Menon (Regional Head). Challenging Times: Are We Resilient Enough? “You never know how strong you are, until being strong is your only choice.” This well-known quote by Bob Marley perfectly suits the current scenario. The COVID-19 pandemic has not only affected a few countries but the entire world is also shaken by its evil wings. Indeed, this is a challenging time for all of us but showing helplessness isn't the solution. Being resilient and helping with it is the need of the hour. So far, we the Indians have dealt with this situation very strongly and will surely emerge victorious. When it was announced about the first phase of the lockdown, there was a little hue and cry among us, the Indians were really panic stricken. People started going to grocery shops and medical stores and began to purchase all the things in bulk. They were apprehensive that even the essential services would be stopped. It was difficult for the people to accept that they would have to be indoors for twenty-one days, and the way Corona cases were coming up it was sure that lockdown would be extended. But gradually people got acclimatised with the situation and accepted what was going around. People began to discover new ways to involve themselves and their children and judiciously utilize this time. It has given everyone a unique opportunity to pursue all their hobbies and interests. Now, it is hearty to see that people are again busy in writing stories and poems, making art and craft and even learning new languages has been trending these days. All the games which were on the verge of extinction have now found a way and people have begun to play games like chess, carom, ludo, cards and many others. We all have begun to cook various delicacies and, in a way, have realized that everything at our homes including the ones which were only found in restaurants. People have begun enjoying epic serials like Ramayana and Mahabharata and many old serials like Shaktiman, Dekh Bhai Dekh, etc. which are telecast on Doordarshan. Many NGOs have come up to offer fruits, food packets and water to police and other providers of essential services as a gesture of gratitude. Most important, we all have realized that even limited resources can bring us happiness. But there is a dark side of this situation also. There are people who come out of their houses just because of their habit of loitering around, stone pelting on police and doctors, are indulged in crimes and even travelling between towns. For such people everything is unimportant in front of their own perennial desire of recreation. Due to such freaks only, our fight has become weak. First time we all have got a wonderful opportunity to serve our motherland by staying at our homes. So, it’s my humble appeal to everyone that please follow the guidelines of lockdown, use masks, sanitizers, hand washes, maintain physical distance and cooperate with the authorities. I’m very sure that soon we all shall triumph over this and normalcy will prevail. प्ररे णा “िाि” एक ऎसा पक्षी है ब्िसे हम ’ईगल’ भी कहते हंै । ब्िस उम्र मंे िाकी पररिं ों के िच्चे धचधचयाना सीखते हंै, उस उम्र मंे एक मािा िाि अपने चिू े को पंिों में ििोचकर सिसे ऊाँ चा उड िाती है। पक्षक्षयों की ितु नया मंे ऎसा कदठन प्रमशक्षण ककसी और का नहीं होता । मािा िाि अपने चिू े को लगभग िारह ककलोमीटर ऊपर ले िाती है। ब्ितने ऊपर आितु नक िहाि उडा करते हंै और वह िरू ी तय करने में मािा िाि 7 से 9 ममनट का समय लेती है । यहाँा से शुरु होती है उस नवहें चिू े की कदठन परीक्षा । उसे अि यहााँ िताया िाएगा कक तुम ककसमलए पैिा हुए हो? तमु ्हारी ितु नया क्या है? तमु ्हारी ऊाँ चाई क्या है? तुम्हारा िमा िहुत ऊाँ चा है और कर्फ़र मािा िाि उसे अपने पंिों से छोड िेती है। िरती की ओर ऊपर से नीचे आते वक्त लगभग िो ककलोमीटर उस चूिे को आभास ही नहीं होताकक उसके साथ क्या हो रहा है। सात ककलोमीटर के अंतराल के आने के िाि उस चिू े के िकडे हुए पखं खलु ने लगते हैं। लगभग नौ ककलोमीटर आने के िाि उसके पखं परू े खलु िाते हैं। यह िीवन का पहला िौर होता है िि िाि का िच्चा पखं र्फ़डर्फ़डाता है। लेककन उसका पखं अभी इतना मििूत नहीं हुआ है कक वह उड सके । िरती से लगभग 400/500 मीटर की िरू ी पर उसे लगता है कक उसके िीवन की शायि यह अंततम यात्रा है। कर्फ़र अचानक से एक पिं ा उसे आकर अपनी धगरफ़्त में ले लेता है और अपने पखं ों के िरममयान समा लेता है। यह पिं ा उसकी मााँ का होता है िो ठीक उसके ऊपर धचपक कर उड रही होती है । उसका यह प्रमशक्षण तनरंतर चलता रहता है िि तक कक वह उडना नहीं सीख िाता । यह प्रमशक्षण एक कमाडं ो की तरह होता है । ति िाकर ितु नया को एक िाि ममलता है िो अपने से िस गुना अधिक विनी प्राणी का भी मशकार करता है। दहविी में एक कहावत है-“िाि के िच्चे माँडु ेर पर नहीं उडत।े “ िशे क माता-वपता अपने िच्चों को अपने से धचपका कर रखें पर उसे ितु नया की मुब्ककलों से रूिरू िरूर करवाएँ,ा उवहंे पररब्स्थततयों से लडना मसखाएाँ और बिना आवकयकता के भी संघर्ा करना मसखाएाँ । आि के िच्चों के पास विनिार पंख तो हंै पर वे उड नहीं सकते क्योंकक “गमले के पौिे और िंगल के पौि”े में िहुत र्फ़का होता है । आस्था श्रीवास्तव कक्षा- नवमीं ’ि’ TRAINING SESSION ON BLENDED LEARNING 21 The Aditya Birla Public School, Grasim Vihar, Rawan (C.G.) 493196 An ISO 9001:2015 Certified School
