A Message from Brian Kelly – CEO Mid -Year update To: All Actavo Team Members Actavo confidential – For internal use only Brian Kelly Chief Executive Officer, Actavo Team, As promised, I have made a communication commitment to you, to share more of our company news across the business more frequently. As part of the internal communication’s strategic initiative, we have taken on board your feedback about methods of communication across the business. The team have developed a substantial communications framework that will resolve most of these issues which is currently being rolled out through communication champions throughout the business. Keep an eye out on our weekly Discovery Newsletter for more information. As we enter into the August timeframe, I think it is a good reflection period to think back on how the last seven months have gone and to assess how the business is set up for the second half of the year. Safety I want to firstly thank you all for our overall Safety Performance. The Total Incident Rate has improved Year on Year from 1.63 to 1.32, with a 38% reduction in actual incident numbers. It reflects how our safety culture has been embraced by everyone across the business. Programmes such as “Safety moments” (where we pause and have a moment to consider safety at the start of every meeting) which was rolled out earlier this year. I have taken this into client meetings, where it really brings our safety culture to life. Our Clients really acknowledge our expertise in this area. Well done to all. I cannot over emphasize number 3 of our golden rules which is Speak up, Intervene & Escalate. I encourage everyone to do this, if you see unsafe or unethical behaviour. We cannot fix things if we don’t know they are occurring. In September, we are hosting a Health & Safety conference where our clients will be invited. The theme of the conference is “Leadership and Accountability” and I am very excited as this will be the forum where we can show off our expertise in this space. Other notable items: Our Business units are now accredited new ISO 45001 Health & Safety Standard. ECIA Safety Award received for Industrial Business.

Top 10 Strategic Initiatives In Autumn 2018, A group of 80 leaders came together from across the business to form the top 10 strategic initiatives. An “Inside Out” Strategic workshop was held. “Inside Out” means that our Strategy is created from within the Company, through the experience and diversity of our Team. The Purpose of the Workshop was to Take a 360 view of the business. The Outcome of the Workshop was to come up with initiatives to strengthen the foundations of Actavo, resulting in the Top 10 Strategic Initiatives being formed. The Top 10 Strategic Initiatives create the platform for our business to thrive into the future with the help of: 1. Safety Focus 6. Excellent Sales Platform 2. Quality IT Infrastructure 3. Project Controls 7. Market Expansion 4. Quality Governance 5. Finance Governance 8. Ability to build the right Resource Capacity 9. Internal & External communications 10. A project excellence orientated cultural platform

Project 1 - Health and Safety Focus 1. What is your project about? The key goal of this project is to identify what new, complimentary initiatives we can introduce to build upon our current HSE performance, sustain our moral code of responsibility and differentiate Actavo within the industry as the leader in safety. 2. What are the deliverables in your project? There are two key projects that will be undertaken - a quick win project which will take less than six months to complete and a longer-term project, which will take a year. Our Quick Win project includes “Safety Moments” and “Safety Commitments”. Our Long-Term Initiative includes – the roll out of a behavioural safety survey to every employee at Actavo to establish what behaviours are in existence today at Actavo and what we can improve on. We are also developing a Leadership Training for Actavo Directors, so they are able to lead the Safety culture across the business. 3. What have you delivered so far to date? This forum will be rolled out to the operations teams across the business, so everyone understands the importance of project controls, the commercial role and lessons learned across the company.

Another Quick Win for the Project Controls Strategic initiative group One of the challenges that we have on many of our projects, was a clear understanding of the scope, obligations, constraints and timelines for programming & recovery for each project that we were undertaking. With our commercial and operational hats on, we have begun to hold a commercial handover meeting at the commencement of every project. During these commercial handover meetings, the operations team is presented with a summary of all the applicable contract documents including details of all our obligations and responsibilities. In a collaborative manner we discuss a range of scenarios that could occur and how, in accordance with the contract, we should address. The feedback from the team is that the clarity that it brought really helped them in their work and will help contribute to a very successful project delivery. Thank you to all the team for engaging in this process!
