Illicit useof pharmaceutical fentanyl and its analogues first appeared in the mid-1970s in the medicalcommunity and continues in the present. Fentanyl analogues may be hundreds of times morepotent than street heroin, and tend to produce significantly more respiratory depression, making itmuch more dangerous than heroin to users. Fentanyl is used orally, smoked, snorted, or injected. InstantEye Mk-2 GEN4 Defining The Tactical Edge The InstantEye Mk-2 GEN4 sUAS is part of a family of high-performance, low-cost aerial systems that can be hand-launched and recovered by a single operator in any weather. The Mk-2 GEN4, a proven system with combat experience, provides immediate tactical ISR in urban and rural environments to inform the ground forces commander’s decision-making process. InstantEye is a full-spectrum organic enabler that provides on-demand situational awareness to enhance force protection and mitigate operational risk. The low base cost of the sUAS, coupled with the fact that no data is stored on the system, means commanders do not have to risk soldiers’ lives to recover a piece of technology. MicroUAV Chemical Agent and TIC Detection, ID, and Localisation – ChemMAV ChemMAV enables the InstantEye to be used for wide area reconnaissance and agent localisation. The real-time display indicates the InstantEye position as well as the time, coordinates, identification, and confidence level of any target CWA/TIC. It integrates the Smiths Detection LCD 3.3 to give detection and identification of CWA and TIC, with PSI’s common sensor interface module. Detection data is transmitted to a MILSTD 810G and IP65 hardened notebook computer, functioning as the Sensor Ground Control Station (S-GCS). A Sensor Communications Module (SCM), operating on an independent wireless link in the 900 MHz ISM band, includes a frame grabber to concurrently capture detection imagery from the flight vehicle with the sensor data. Any Windows 7+ computer with a USB port can be used as the S-GCS. MicroUAV Radionuclide Detection, Identification and Localisation – RadMAV RadMAV enables the InstantEye to be used for wide area reconnaissance and source localisation of up to 23 target radionuclides. As with ChemMAV, RadMAV’s real-time display indicates the InstantEye position as well as the time, coordinates, identification, dose rate, and confidence level of any target isotope. It uses PSI’s DNDO-award winning Poisson-Clutter Split (PCS) algorithm, operating in an onboard embedded processor called the Advanced Processor for Scintillators, to provide detection updates at 1 second intervals while employing a 3 second running average. Detection data is transmitted to a MIL-STD 810G and IP65 hardened notebook computer, functioning as the Sensor Ground Control Station (S-GCS).22 Unmanned Detection Platform
