The mapping sector provides users the visual geolocationof all assets on the ground.CommunicationScimitar radios provide a versatile, dynamic and tactical bearer for audio/video, physiologicaland sensor telemetry data. Global Connectivity The ability to provide real time data from the tactical level to the strategic can be a powerful tool allowing safer deployment of personnel. The Scimitar software acts like a server allowing users to remote in via a browser to see the screen from anywhere in the word.CBRN & Other Specialised Sensors (Optional Accessories)Scimitar C5i is able to connect to, and provide real time data, from a range of sensorsincluding CBRN and oxygen sensors. In fact, if there is a wired or wireless connectionavailable almost any sensor can be integrated.

Live Physiological Status MonitoringA wealth of physiological data is provi2ded to a monitoring point covering everything from heart rate – beats perminute to ECG or even respiration amplitude which can be vital for trained medical personnel. EPE has, however,worked hard to provide a more clear-cut, unambiguous measure of whether personnel are working at safe physicallevels. Two new metrics have been developed which allow commanders to know;• Heat Stress Risk (HSR) – this is an index from 0-10 which, when it reaches 7.5 is an indication that the person has reached their threshold and is at severe risk of a heat related injury.• Physiological Strain Index (PSI4) – this is an index, as above, which alarms at 7.5 to indicate that a person is extremely physically stressed and at risk of injury. USER 1 To simplify the command screen in the software without users having to monitor the data on multiple windows the key physiological metrics have been overlaid onto the users video feeds. USER 3 The physiological data can still be viewed in a separate window in its entirety if required.Highly Flexible and ScalableScimitar C5i is a highly flexible and scalable system allowing the live streaming and capture of data from a singleindividual to many hundreds. The system can be easily deployed in a range of roles and configured or reconfiguredto suit specific tasks/requirements allowing it to display the relevant data. Some of these different roles are:• Training – Sensors can be placed on individuals, weapons, targets and areas to provide live or post serial review tying in operators movement/position with when a round is fired and matching it to a target and where the round landed. This also includes the perspective of the target looking at the operator to enhance drills. Internal areas with ballistic lining, which makes the use of RF very difficult, can be fitted with access points in the rooms to overcome this.• Physiological Status Monitoring – the monitoring of up to hundreds of individuals can be viewed live providing an easy to read status with audible and visual alarms to alert users. Applications can range from: Physical Trainers monitoring users physiological data, in real time, with just the BioHarness, to many hundreds of users being monitored in an outdoor setting such as rural firefighters.• Domestic Counter Terrorism Operations – physiological and geolocation data as well as video and audio, if required, can be provided in real time to tactical command elements, with almost no limit to the number of streams (if video is required: recommended limit of 25-30 video streams). This provides an extremely powerful aid to decision making and situational awareness.• Optional Command & Control Node – The ST12000 is capable of running up to 5 networks simultaneously as well as providing a portable, robust interface with a larger screen for user data. Scimitar SKC Standard Kit ConfigurationThe SKC is a basic kit allowing users an entry level capability that is simple to operate and deploy whilst stillproviding the full range of functionality. Scimitar C5i utilises MESH radios as the bearer which enables users to buildon this capability if required, and ensures a flexible and scalable capability. In the SKC configuration, Scimitar C5iprovides a command centre that connects up to 3x physiological sensors and 3x live video streams depending ontheir proximity to the radio. The SKC is able to connect to just a single physiological monitor or video, if required.
