AWARDS & ACHIEVEMENTS A SUPERLATIVE RECOGNITION FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE DPS Udaipur has been conferred with the Rajasthan Education Leadership Award-2022 by the World Education Congress. The School has been the proud recipient of this award from last 11 years on account of giving the best board results in the state, maximum participation in various exams and initiatives at the national and state level, impart of quality education and excellent leadership capabilities. This honour for making a mark in the state and the country was given in Jaipur and was received by the School Chairman Mr. Govind Agarwal and the School Principal Mr.Sanjay Narvaria. The DPS Society, New Delhi congratulated the School Management and the teachers for receiving this honour and recognition. ROARING SUCCESS IN CLASS XII BOARD The class 12 students of DPS Udaipur once again, as very much expected, registered roaring success in board examination. The Results have been truly gratifying and showcase the untiring efforts and dedication of the students their mentors. Gandharva Chhipa topped in the Science stream with 98.6% followed by Saumya Jain with 98.4%. Sahil Singh and Aksha Jain topped Humanities stream with 98%. Monisha Bapna with 97% has been the topper in the Commerce Stream followed by Priyal Sarupriya with 96.6%. 1 | Page
In all, 52 students scored 90% and above. 18 students have bagged cent percent marks in one or the other subject. In all, 197 students have secured first division. The School ProVice Chairman, Mr. Govind Agarwal exhibited immense happiness and congratulated the students. Rushil Ajaria and Neev Pohani scored the highest with 97.6% followed by Niharika Pranav Komerwar, Granth Kothari and Jai Kumar Bohara with 97.4%. The third place in the school merit list was taken again by two students Divyansh Tailor and Angel Singhvi with 97.2%. Abhisar Das and Azeem Ahmed on the fourth peace with 96.6% and Amrita Soni on the fifth position with 96.4% followed by Aaditya Vijay,Dakshaja Pandya with 96.2% on the sixth position in the school. The seventh position has been taken by Raghavendra Saini and Laksh Jain with 95.8%. Rishita Jodhawat stood eighth in the school merit list with 95.8% and Zubi Ahmed with 95.6%, Mahivardhan Singh with 95.4% and Palak Chhaparwal with 95% brought laurels to the school. DARSHAN’S WORLD RECORD IN LAWN TENNIS Darshan Singhvi of class XII DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, UDAIPUR, has proved that the dipsites don’t take breaks but they just break records. Darshan’s participation in the Lawn Tennis Marathon has been acknowledged by the WORLD RECORD FORUM and he has been felicitated with a certificate and a medal for being a part of the longest standing Lawn Tennis marathon. He played continuously for a whopping time frame of 15 hours and 30 minutes. The Management and school administration showered Darshan with praise and wished him luck for future. It is a matter of great delight that JAI KUMAR BOHARA son of Vinod Kumar Bohara, a student of class XI Commerce secured 3rd Rank with 95/100 marks in Quiz competition conducted by ICAI [Institute of Chartered Accountants of India] on 19th June 2022 and has been awarded a cash prize of 10,000 rupees. He also secured 7th rank in the Commerce wizard quiz conducted by ICAI on 16th and won Rs ,500/as cash prize. KARMANYA ADJINDYED OLYMPIAD QUALIFIES DPS UDAIPUR is elated to share yet another meritorious performance of our student *Karmanya Gupta* of class X who has been awarded with the Certificate of Merit as STATE TOPPER for having been placed among Top 1% of 614 candidates of the state/ union territory of Rajasthan at the The Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Junior Science Exam 2021-22 (Part-1). DISTRICT ROLLER SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP The constant efforts of Himansh Devpura, Kavish Soni and Mehr Soni were rewarded in the Udaipur District Roller Skating Championship 2022-23. Himansh Devpura won 2 gold medals in 500/1000 mtr races. Kavish Soni bagged 2 bronze medals and Mehr Soni got 1 bronze medal in 1000 metre race. 4 | Page
INTERNATIONAL INTER SCHOOL DANCE COMPETITION -2022 DIPSITES outshine in the International Inter School Dance Competition -2022 Dance is called the hidden language of the soul as we use it to express ourselves when words fall short. Students of Delhi Public School Udaipur bagged 1st prize in \"International Inter School Dance Competition -2022\" organised by ACT UNIVERSAL UAE and ACT UNIVERSAL INDIA. School management congratulated the students and wished them success ahead.. EVENTS & ACTIVITIES VICTORY CELEBRATION DPS Udaipur celebrated the phenomenal success of students of class 10th and 12th board( session 2021-22 )on 22nd July 2022. The cake cutting ceremony witnessed the presence of many students and their parents and teachers in the premises. BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION The birthday celebration of staff members are the most significant ways in which close bonding among staff members can be made. The teaching and the admin fraternity of the school had an enjoyable time celebrating the birthday of the School Principal Mr. Sanjay Narvaria on 1st July in the school premises .The celebration was also graced by the presence of the school Pro Vice Chairman Mr Govind Agarwal and Ms. Mani Agarwal. ‘PAPA CHEF’ COMPETITION In order to strengthen bond of parents with the school & make them participate in school activities ‘Papa Chef’ competition was organized. Cooking enthusiasts went all out to serve a big spread of dishes at the competition .Participants had to prepare dishes without using any source of heat or prepared ingredients . It was wonderful experience for the fathers and students to identify and promote their exceptional talent in different ways. The competition was amalgamation of knowledge and entertainment. Fathers looked professional in aprons and chef caps The event was a plethora of delicious delicacies and fun. TOT TRAILS: PRACTICAL EXPOSURE' Keeping with the theme of 'My Body' the five senses were introduced to the children through demonstrations by the teacher a variety of hands-on activities for the tiny tots to do. The sense booth was created for Nursery children of Delhi Public School, Udaipur where kids experienced different textured objects by rubbing their hands over the surface. The taste booth helped them with different taste of sweet, sour and bitter. Toddlers enjoyed listening to music and playing xylophone. The sense booth day left 6 | Page
them with a sense of wonderment about themselves and the wonderful world around them. KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS Kargil Vijay Diwas special assembly was conducted on 26th July to honour the brave soldiers of the Indian army who selflessly laid down their lives to safeguard India’s borders. Students shared their thoughts and feelings through speech , patriotic song and a dance performance. Their every word paid a rich tribute to the fallen heroes and the sacrifices made by them .The Head Mistress Ma'am Ms. Shalini Singh explained the importance of the day through her inspiring and motivational words. The assembly concluded with prize distribution followed by singing of the National Anthem. BEST OUT OF WASTE Little hands and imagination minds came together in a creative burst of energy during the “Best out of waste” competition held for classes I - V. The competition focused on bringing an understanding among the children about preserving the environment by reusing and recycling the waste material. Fantabulous ideas were demonstrated using material like newspaper and used plastic bottles. 7 | Page
From these items, they created an amazing array of display items and useful everyday objects leaving everyone impressed. AROUND THE COUNTRY India is the land of diversity .Indians follow different cultures,religions, languages and traditions, but living together with love and peace irrespective of these differences describe the concept of unity in diversity of India. To make children familiar with differences of culture of our nation a Fancy dress competition ' Around the Country ' was organised in pre primary. Children came dressed as the citizens of various states and displayed cultural variances . A fancy dress competition not only blends learning with fun but also develops confidence in student by giving them an opportunity to speak in front of their own classmates. Children participated with confidence and enthusiasm. ‘MOM AND ME’ PARTY DAY. Working up effortlessly throughout the years requires celebration and appreciation. So, DPS Udaipur helped mothers to take some time out of their daily schedule and celebrate it exclusively with their little toddlers on ‘Mom And Me Party Day’. Mothers introduced themselves in order to get acquainted with each other.Toddlers were having fun at slides ,trampoline and rides . Mothers along with their wards played many one minute games. STORY TELLING COMPETITION Storytelling is a unique human skill shared amongst people far and wide. It opens up the vivid imaginations that run wild in children and it also builds confidence and enhances speaking skills. A storytelling competition was organised for the students of classes I - III and IV- V respectively with the themes ' Jataka tales and 'Folklores.' The young vibrant storytellers came forth with wonderful tales. While some stories provided food for thought, some reinforced moral values and some were humorous. The stories were judged on the basis of content,prounciation, intonation and overall presentation of the children. SCHOLASTIC INITIATIVES HARDWORK FOR SUCCESS The students of class V-E organised an assembly on the topic \" Hardwork For Success \". 9 | Page
The Assembly was honoured by Padmashree awardee Shree Shyam Sunder Paliwal ji, Chairman Shree Govind Agarwal ji , Principal Mr. Sanjay Narvaria and Head Mistress Mrs. Shalini Singh. The Assembly delivered a strong message that how hard work plays a Vital Role in getting success and concluded with inspirational and motivational words of Shri Paliwal ji , Chairman sir and Principal Sir. TheAssembly was undoubtedly a result of immense efforts of students which ended with delivering of vote of thanks to everyone present there. Alumni Rahul was also felicitated in the assembly with financial aid to study abroad under student exchange programme. VACCINATION DRIVE AT DPS UDAIPUR As part of community service program, the vaccination drive for administering the first/second dose of vaccine to the students of classes 6 to 12 was conducted on 9th July,2022 in the school premises, with the help of District health department. 165 students received covaxin/ corbevax vaccine.All safety precautions and covid protocols were observed for the smooth conduction of the drive. SENSITIZING ON ORAL HYGIENE The school collaborated with a team of dentists to organise a free dental check-up and awareness camp in the school premises. The young students cherished the chance to interact with the dentists to enquire and gain knowledge about oral health and maintaining good oral hygiene. On completion of the dental checkup each student was given a report summary of the diagnosed problem and the recommended dental treatment. 10 | Page
WORLD YOUTH SKILLS DAY \" DPS Udaipur grabbed a unique opportunity to sensitize its senior students about youth skills and their significance in generating a positive change and innovation . World youth skills day is celebrated to equip young people with skills for employment and entrepreneurship . The session commenced with the welcoming of the resource persons by the Principal Mr. Sanjay Narvaria. The key speakers Professor Anil Kothari (Former Director and Chairman, faculty of Management Studies ,MLSU ), Dr.Sachin Gupta(Assistant Professor,MLSU) and Mr. Kapil Sharma ( Entrepreneurof FIVE S Digital) discussed how young people can quickly adapt to the demands of an ever- changing world and be resourceful entrepreneurs of the society.The students felt highly inspired by the success stories of great entrepreneurs and found the session very invigorating and enriching. DPS Udaipur has taken a vital step towards teaching students to be self- reliant and contribute in the initiative of the government,*Aatmanirbhar Bharat*. FORMATION OF STUDENT COUNCIL BODY Student Councils are a great way for students to take up leadership roles, promote the voice of student body , solve problems and help school to organise various events and projects. Making of student council for teaching young students effective leadership skills is an important activity in DPS Udaipur .The students, through a proper detailed document applied for various post as per their capabilities. The first round of interview was conducted by the coordinators and class teachers of respective classes. The final round of interviews was conducted by the panel comprising of the School Principal, HMs, and the class coordinators so that judicious and fair discretions can be made. SCHOLASTIC INITIATIVES FIELD TRIP TO ORGANIC FARM OF DPS UDAIPUR On Monday, July 11, 2022, the students of class XI F (GEOGRAPHY) visited the organic farm of our school. It was a visual treat to witness different types of flowering plants, fruits and vegetables grown in organic manner.Students learnt how to do this type of farming & also significance of it. It helps to maintain environmental health by reducing 11 | Page
the level of (chemical fertilizers ) pollutants. . It reduces human and animals health hazards by reducing the level of chemical and helps in keeping agricultural production at a sustainable level. Children enjoyed this hands-on-experience during the field trip supervised by Ms Anjul Sharma. DEVELOPING AESTHETIC SENSE !!Learning at its Best!! Seminars and workshops provide an opportunity to interact with the experts in the specialized field. A Fashion Workshop is where students, teachers and researchers work with an experimental approach to fashion and the development of the clothing. Considering all the aspects,a Fashion Workshop was organised in the DPS, Udaipur campus for the students of class 11th and 12th by the department of Fashion Studies. The piece of work which was chosen for the workshop was \" Banjara Art\". The purpose of workshop was to enhance the creativity, creative embroidery effect on fabric with less time. INIFD fashion design college and Fevicryl Pidilite also contributed to the sessions. The session was very fruitful. It was appreciated and enjoyed by the students. EDUTRIP TO AHAR MUSEUM DPS, Udaipur gave an excellent opportunity to the students of Humanities stream (Class XI and XII) to get out of the formal context of the classroom and cultivate shared experiences. To stimulate interest in learning about the rich Indian culture and civilization, a field trip to ‘Ahar Mu seum, Udaipur’ was conducted on 30th July, 2022. Under the guidance of the faculty of Humanities stream,Ms Ritu Karir,Ms. Mona Sehgal and Ms Anjul Sharma, this educational trip resulted in positive enrichment, 12 | Page
strengthening of observation skills, subject wise knowledge expansion along with raising awareness among students. EXPOSING SENIOR STUDENTS TO COMMERCE AVENUES An interactive cum counselling session for the students of classes XI and XII Commerce was conducted on 30July 2022.Chartered Accountant Mr. Shivin Nalwaya addressed the students about the various courses available in Commerce after completing class XII. The details of CA & ACCA courses and their benefits were discussed. Ms Priyanka Arora,on behalf of the school administration, thanked Mr Shivin for sharing the much needed, useful information with the students. CONTINUOUS COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT The continuous assessment in the form of first periodic test cycle were conducted in the month of July. The school has adopted continuous evaluation method to improve the overall educational performance. This will promote qualitative competition between the students too.. The schedule for the periodic tests with syllabus had been already given to all the students to help in timely revision of topics being assessed. 13 | Page
WORKSHOPS & WEBINARS COMMITMENT TO STAFF DEVELOPMENT Mentoring is the process by which an experienced and trusted colleague offers support, advice and guidance to other colleagues. The school Principal Mr. Sanjay Narvaria completed the training program \"Getting started with mentoring \" from Cambridge Assessment International Education and received a certificate of appreciation The mentoring would help to create a positive working environment in the school.
