The preservation and destruction of Treasury records are regulated by those rules and the rules in Paragraph 6 of Standing Order No. 169 of the Board of Revenue and Appendices VIII and IX to Chapter XV of the Board’s Standing Orders. No deviation from the periods laid down in these rules for the preservation of Treasury records is permissible without the concurrence of the Accountant-General, and no alteration should be made in these rules without his concurrence. _____
