The Chattering Thief One sunny and bright day I was in my backyard just sitting in a beach chair relaxing when I reached over to get my sunglasses...but they were not there. (Hmm I had them a second ago … where could they be ? This is a mystery that I have to solve.) Ok I need to find clues. So I start looking. I saw some brown and gray fur on the grass. (It looks like it came from an animal.) I kept looking and looking. Suspicious…. All of a sudden I feel THUD! Hmm an acorn fell on my head!!! Ouch!!! There must be a squirrel nearby. Could this be another clue? I hear something in the bushes SQUEAK I heard in a high pitched voice SQUEAK again hmmm...

(IT HAS TO BE A SQUIRREL !!!!!!!!) I had figured it out YAY! Almost all of my clues pointed at a squirrel but now I have to find the sunglasses. I thought a squirrel has them so it will be easy to figure out. So I went to the tree and look for a hole. I don't see one so I go to the next tree and guess what? I DO FIND ONE! A TREE WITH A HOLE! YAY! I turn around AHHHH!!! THERE IS A SQUIRREL ON MY SHOULDER!!!!! “SCRAM!” I said. It went away. Phew! I look in the hole and...MY SUNGLASSES! YES!!!!!!! Now my case is cracked so I sit back down and relaxed with my sunglasses. From now on, my sunglasses will be on my head and my eyes will be on the evil squirrels!
