Klang Valley covers the geographical area from the north to the south of Kuala Lumpur which is Rawang and Sepang respectively. Did you know that Klang Valley was established in 1973? Klang Valley was introduced as a result of recommendations from a regional planning study in that area. The five major areas in Klang Valley include Kuala Lumpur, Gombak, Hulu Langat and Petaling. Klang Valley is home to many Malaysians and also expats. Since Malaysia is culturally diverse, there are many cultural places that we can visit in Klang Valley. We are here to share with you some unique places to visit ranging from historical sites to night markets. In this edition, we will be going into 5 detail based on each region in Klang Valley starting from its Northern Region, Central Region to the Southern Region. Apart from that, the Central Region will be sectioned into three parts.

Introduction To Klang valley WHAT’S KLANG VALLEY MADE OF? Klang Valley is made up of approximately 2,832 square kilometres and roughly it is situated at the centre of the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It is geographically located to the north and east to the Titiwangsa Mountains and the Strait of Malacca to the west. It also extends until Rawang in the northwest, southeast to Semenyih, and Port Klang and Klang in the southwest. As of 2021, Klang Valley is home to roughly 8.4 million people, which is 25% of Malay- sia’s total population. The population in Klang Valley is expected to gradually increase at 0.5% annually. Apart from that, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Malaysia has expanded 5.0% underpinned by stronger domestic demand during the first quarter of 2022 and is expected to gain 320.00 USD Billion by the end of 2022. From January to March 2022, the monthly economic performance showed better growth. The GDP performance had grown 4.3% in January 2022, risen to 5.2% and 5.4% in February and March 2022 respectively. The current economic standing shows that the economic performance during the first quarter of 2022 has surpassed the level of the quarter of 2019 by 5.2%, which is RM17.9 billion. 6

WAYS TO NORTHERN REGION Introduction To Northern Region Kuala Lumpur - Kuala Selangor Expressway (LATAR) The LATAR expressway (Lebuhraya Assamjawa Taman Rimba), which is also known as Kuala Lumpur- Kuala Selangor Expressway, is an expressway that links Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Selangor with its west and east end which is Ijok and Templer’s Park respectively.
