Deanna Yusoff & Grandjean Frères artisanal swiss chocolates Deanna Yusoff It all began in 1991, when Deanna Yusoff clinched the lead role in the play Couples de Champagne at the Theatre de la Cite de Fribourg, Switzerland. From then on, her story of success continues. Now, Deanna is the very definition of the versatile performer—she is a singer, actor, model, songwriter, composer and television personality. She is no stranger to challenge and consistently and continually seeks new and different ways to raise the bar for herself and achieve her goals. While Deanna knew immediately that theatre was her first and primary passion, that early experience also left her hungry for more performing opportunities. She began her film career in late 1991, playing the lead role of Mastura in the Malaysian film Selubung. For this she won the coveted best actress award at the 10th annual Malaysian Film Festival in 1992. She also acted in Abang 92’ and Ringgit Kassorga. She’s proud of a cameo role in Army Daze in 1996. She considers the 1999 role of Lady Thiang in 20th Century Fox’s Anna and the King as a pivotal role. Because she enjoys new challenges, Deanna is currently building a jazz repertoire. She headlined a two-night performance at No Black Tie in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2009. She is excited about being invited to sing at corporate shows and events in Malaysia and Singapore. Not only that, she has now ventured into chocolate industry with the establishment of Artisanal Asia Sdn Bhd in 2008 with a view to providing a pan-Asian link to fine European artisanal delicacies. Grandjean Frères is Artisanal Asia’s first offering from a range of the finest quality products to come. Whisky Truffles, Fruit Truffle, Baby ‘G’ and Mocha Truffle continue with success.
