Personnel Advisory Board For City of Keene Non-Bargaining Unit Employees
The Purpose of the PAB The PAB was established through Keene City Code, Article II, Section 62.31-35. It was created to advise the City Manager on concerns relating to all regular, non-bargaining unit employees of the City of Keene who are identified on the City’s classified pay scale. PAB Meetings The PAB meets regularly to discuss issues affecting non bargaining-unit employees. These include cost-of- living adjustments, benefits, training opportunities, and other concerns. The board also looks for ways to improve communication among the non-bargaining unit employees. Please contact your representative at any time with issues you would like the Board to discuss. PAB meetings are open to anyone who wishes to stay informed.
What does the PAB do? The PAB works with other City committees to promote City-wide employee trainings, tours, and other activities. It makes recommendations for benefits and cost-of-living adjustments. It fulfills an advocacy role for any non-bargaining-unit employee filing a grievance to ensure that all the facts have been fairly presented.
PAB Membership The PAB consists of eight elected members and one appoint- ed member. These board members consists of two elected representatives from each of the three non-bargaining em- ployee groups, as follows: Two members at large; Two members from City Hall; Two members from the Library; Two members from Police, Fire, Public Works, Airport, and Parks Recreation & Facilities One department head appointee if no de- partment head has been elected through the voting process.
