This simple looking bowl is designed to stimulate a child’s proprioceptive senses. Originally developed for special needs students, it turns out all child enjoy sitting or lying in the bowl and gently rocking … side to side or front to back, etc, like Mr. Elephant is doing. Another variation for larger children is to place a padded board on top of the bowl. Smaller children can lie on the bowl. Or spin the child … slowly at first. Then maybe more quickly. Be careful!
