“Tajneed-The capsule Learning Moves\"    The Tajneed leadership team of Dunes conducted a Breast Cancer awareness program for the bus monitors.  The goal of breast cancer awareness campaigns is to raise the public's \"brand awareness\" for breast cancer,  its detection, its treatment, and the need for a reliable and permanent cure.    They also shared the Diwali sweets and expressed their gratitude for their service towards the students.                                                                                     2

Parent Teacher Conference     Parent Teacher Conferences play a crucial role in enhancing a child’s education. Parents along with the teachers   can play an active role in their child’s education and can further encourage and influence their child to do well in   school.   Dunes PTC plays a major effective role to interact and discuss about their child’s progress.   Parent teacher meeting helps parents about the activities and academic progress of the child evaluated through   regular assessments, assignments and observation. On the other hand, it also helps parents to properly com-   municate and coordinate with the teacher about participation of the child in class and in different activities.                                                                                     4

Diwali    Diwali meaning\" row of lights\" is celebrated to honor the victory of good over evil and brightness over  darkness. A five day festival is celebrated with full of joy and prayers are offered for the welfare,  prosperity, wealth and wisdom. On this occasion Kindergarten students of dunes international school  dressed up and shared sweets among their friends.                                                                           12

English    Reinforcement of letters, phonic sound, associated pictures, objects and alphabet song. Students were able to iden-  tify and read words by using various digital activities. Students were able to frame two and three letter words by  blending the sounds. To enhance students speaking skills “Just a minute “activity was conducted.                                                                                     14

Mathematics    Students were introduced to number “25”with its number value using a ten frame format. Students learnt the  concept of counting numbers 21-25 through various hands on activities and online games.                                                                                   16

Science    Exploring and observing types of weather.  Students talked about the different seasons and clothes  they wear during the same. Arabic             Letter    Students gained an understanding of  letter “dal” through tracing the letter  on ICT and identifying the letter with  the picture.                                             19
Library    The Dunes junior library is an essential instrument of developing desirable study habit in students.  It promotes individual and group learning, enhancing comprehension. The tiny tots of kindergarten tried to  read the words from magazine with the help of phonics.                                                                                 20
Physical Education    \"Physical activity is good not only for the heart, but also for the  brain. Students enjoyed practicing physical exercises such as jog-  ging, Aerobics, Music and movement for the upcoming sports day.                                                                                   21
Creativity Corner    Kindergarten is a time for young children to learn and develop artistic fundamentals. Art and craft activities are  engaging for preschoolers because they are opportunity for hands-on creation, which is how children retain in-  formation most effectively and efficiently at this age. Self-expression is important in building character and  identity and learning to represent an inner feeling creatively. In Dunes the students are encouraged to show-  case their creative skills which enhances their learning process. Dunes Football Cup    “Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what  you are doing or learning to do” - Pele - Brazil Football Legend  Our school conducted the 1st 5 a Side Football tournament – DUNES FOOTBALL CUP (DFC)  on 31st October 2019. Totally six schools have took part in this tournament and displayed  tremendous sportsmanship throughout the event. The tournament was played on the basis of  league cum knock out.    Feedback  The staff members of our  school served whole heart-  edly throughout the tour-  nament to make this as a  grand success. The partici-  pant’s schools expressed  their gratitude as they ap-  preciated our school hos-  pitality and tranquil or-  ganization of the tourna-  ment.  This tournament would  not be possible without  the support of our princi-  pal sir. He has given elbow                                                    What Next…..                             UAE Flag Day will be observed on 3rd November, to remember the efforts                               of the founders of the country.                             Sandwich Day also to be held on 3rd November. Bring homemade sand-                               wiches for your breakfast. Parents can share recipe of their sandwich with                               your wards class teacher.
