Glimpse of this week YOUNG READERS DAY Children of KG 2 cele- brated World Reader’s Day on November 12, 2019. This day is special as it recognizes the joys and benefits of reading. Stu- dents brought their favor- ite book from home and exchanged with their friends and read the book. 4

Glimpse of this week CHILDREN’S DAY Students of KG 2 celebrated children's day as a tribute to India's First Prime Minis- ter, Jawaharlal Nehru. This day is celebrated to increase awareness of the rights , care and education of children . students wore colour dress and shared sweets with their friends which symbolizes sharing is caring .KG students were delighted to watch cartoon of their favorite characters Tom and Jerry and participate in flash mob. 5

English Vocabulary is a matter of word building as well as word using. Students learnt sequence of two and three characters - diagraphs and triagraphs . Learning vocabulary on scr , str , sh and ch through activities like formation of words and framing of sentences made children easier to learn the concept. Students demonstrated diagraphs using flash cards and digital technology 12

MATHEMATICS Students demonstrated activities on single digit addition , single digit word problems and reinforcement of numbers from 70—80 through tens and ones , backward counting and miss- ing numerals. 14

Mathematics 15

Science In this science experiment students were able to see the first steps in a plant’s life. Using a variety of seeds and by building a super-easy “germination kit ” could helped them to hypothesize which seed will begin to sprout first and what it will look like. This science project was an excellent in- troduction to plant life cycles in kindergarten students. 16

SCIENCE 17

ARABIC To learn a language is to have one more window from which to look at the world. Kindergarten- ers leant Arabic through activities and games . Student gained an understanding of letters “saad “and “duad” through tracing letter on ICT and matching the letter with the pictures. 18

Library Students of kindergarten read lot of interesting books with reference to jolly phonics . Students read books in digital tabs , read story ,solve puzzles etc. . 19

Physical Education Physical education is a course taught in school that focuses on developing physical fitness. Effective P.E. classes help kids develop skill and confidence, maintain physical fitness, learn about personal health and wellness, and demonstrate positive social skills. Students gained physical fitness through their fun play in school. 20

Swimming Swimming is an individual or team racing sport that requires the use of one's entire body to move through water. Our little ones learnt various different swimming techniques like breathing techniques , leg tapping , swimming with the board etc. 21

Creativity corner Creativity is not about doing something better than others, it is about thinking, exploring, discovering, and imagining. Art and craft activities give kids a sense of achievement and allow them to take pride in their work which builds confidence. Creativity corner No baking Vegetable Sandwich Preparation time: 10 minutes Ingredients Wheat / white Bread slices- As per requirement Vegetables as per the taste of your kid ( Cucum- ber, carrot, lettuce, cabbage, capsicum, tomato etc..) Garlic paste- Adequate quantity to mix Salt-to taste Preparation Please remove the pulp from cucumber and tomato. Please chop the vegetables to avoid choking. Mix the chopped vegetables, salt and garlic paste in a bowl. Apply the mix in the bread and enjoy your sandwich. Tip: Add shredded ,fried chicken (marinated with Kashmir chilly powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder garam masala , salt and fried) to the bowl of veggies and garlic paste and mix. Home –made garlic paste Ingredients 1.Egg white of 1 large egg 2.Lemon juice-1 tb spoon 3.Garlic- 1 big clove/2 small Salt-to taste Preparation Any vegetable oil- Adequate quantity for the consistencyBlend the ingredients 1,2 and 3 in a blender for 2 minutes. Pour the oil in portions and blend in between till it reaches the thick consistency. Add the salt. 24
