9 ‘PENGUIN DAY’ Penguins are some of the most adorable and lovable creatures and have some of the best durability that's known among the animal kingdom. Observed the world over on April 25th, World Penguin Day recognizes one of the unique birds on the planet. Special Assembly were conducted by KG-2 B to raised the awareness of this flightless bird that how unique and important it is for our environment. Dunes kindergarteners celebrated this wonderful day by performing Penguin Dance and taking pledge to save them through sustainable initiatives. 9

10 Literacy Diphthongs of ‘aw’ and ‘ou’ introduced of two letters to work together to make one sound. Students reinforced the topic through connecting with digital and distinguishing the sound with arranging word cards and solving puzzles. Students are able to demonstrate competency in general skills and strategies of the reading process. 10

12 Numeracy Time is the ongoing sequence of events taking place. The past, present and future. The basic unit of time is the second, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years. Students measured time using clocks. Students created Analogue and Digital clock and were able to relate and apply time concept in all areas of life. 12

14 Understanding of world Introducing the concept of Days of the week through different activities. Which are beneficial for the kindergarteners to learn about. Students identified the days of the week on a calendar. They learnt the vocabulary through writing in the correct order and unscrambling it on ICT. Students enjoyed the en- actment using different props and displayed im- mense self-confidence while narrating and en- acting. 14

16 Library Reading books stimulates children’s imagination and expands their understanding of the world. It helps them develop language and listening skills and prepares them to understand the written word. Our little readers learned to read the books with the helped of jolly phonics and enjoyed which shows more desire for reading. 16

17 Physical Education-Sports The importance physical education for students is strong warm up are followed by training time, where students receive in a new skill for sports practice one they’ve been learning, like running with good form. Students have an activity that reinforce those skills including with the group game and warm up. 17

18 Swimming It's essential that every toddler learn to swim, especially to be water-safe. Dunes introduced swimming in kindergarten, so that they have the skill for their whole life. This can help improve their overall physi- cal and mental health. 18

19 Community Singing Singing is a good way to unite students as one. They learn and have fun learning together. Students learn to relate ,help ,trust and coordinate with each other .They get a kind of music therapy where no pressure but enjoying the moment. 19
