Based on the theme of “celebrating the nobili- ty of the teaching profession, the Awards” aimed to pay trib- ute to the teaching fraternity in UAE. Gandhi Jayanti Gandhi Jayanti 2019: “150 Years of Mahatma, the Father of the nation”. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi continues to inspire generations across the globe with his inter- nationally esteem doctrine of nonviolent protest (satyagraha).This day is also cele- brated as the “International day of non-violence”. Kindergarten students perform small skit related to non violence and teachers perform a puppet show to make kids aware about cleanliness. 4
Roots and Shoots Roots and shoot s encourage children to implement practical positive change for people, animals and the environment by providing them with free resources and a place to share their success stories with the world. Class Mascot Taking the class mascot home is a big deal for the students. They are so excited to bring a piece of the class home to their families and share about their day. It's also meaningful for my students to share a bit of home with something from the class. Blend- ing home and school into the same world for students is so powerful. Student’s mascot visited grandparents, gone for shopping and attended birthday parties, and more. Students read to him and he meets with their stuffed animals. 10

English–Blending of sound “Blending\". It is great way for en- couraging reading skills in students, by blending phonic sounds. Students were reading instantly to enhance vocabulary skills and their confidence. 12
Mathematics Numbers were reinforced through different games and activities. Students learnt the number value and number sense through different hands on activi- ties like spin roll and build- ing of tens and ones etc. 13
Science Reinforcement of My family and household items Practices makes perfect through recapitulation. Students were able to recollect and discuss about the facts of My family. Activities like sorting of household items helps the students to differentiate between each of them and their use. Arabic Arabic Arabic subject at kindergarten level teaches them the fundamentals of language and prepare them for higher grades.
