FORTIETH EDITION JULY 2023 From The Desk of Jayant Manglik As we forge ahead, Team Omni is doing well and poised to do even better. A significant percentage of Omniites are earning incentives and the ongoing contests are also playing their part in creating winning opportunities for team-members. A record number of 131 people qualified for the Phuket trip, which was the top prize for the JFM multi-product IP & AP sales contest. Congratulations to the winners! That done, we will continue our focus on IP. Persisting with insurance sales through the year is a good idea, especially now that it is an all-season product and there are regulatory caps on the tax-free amount. As a retail channel we are best placed to benefit from this opportunity – all we have to do is present the wide range of products to our clients and they will surely pick at least one policy. This is part of the IP initiative, the other side of which is PMS/AIF sales which, together with insurance, will help in ensuring high revenues and profits to augment our core business of broking in equity, currency and commodity segments. Likewise, Advisory products like TGS and IAP will remain a key part of our revenue initiative. We also have to increase the number of clients sourced by Omni. This will help in getting core broking revenue as well as sales in other investment and advisory products. For this, new client acquisition (NCA) is the key. The ongoing Dubai contest for NCA too saw many winners (Congratulations, again!) and I am sure the number of NCA will only increase from here on as the central team continues to facilitate quality acquisition in good quantities. To do all this consistently, we have to make Omni bigger than it currently is. We need more RM and more Advisors. More good people like you who make Omni what it is today. Continue to refer your colleagues from your previous organizations and we will make it rewarding for you to do so just as we have done earlier. Incidentally, most of the best people we have hired have been from internal referrals. Aim high & do well!
