INTRODUCTION Company History Incorporated in July 18, 2003 and based in Nakawa/Ntinda, both suburbs of Kampala, Upgrade Systems Ltd was registered and set up as a Ugandan limited liability company, and its internal ultimate authority is the Board of Directors. The General Manager is held exclusively responsible for daily management. The main departments include the Sales department, Human Resource/Admin, Finance and Technical support. The initial company set up was limited to extending computer repairs. Maintenance, and programming services to companies, individuals, schools, and non-government organizations. At present, USL develops customized software, sets up networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN), designs, and hosts and maintains websites, office infrastructure setup, and IT consultancy services. BUSINESS PRODUCTS AND SERVICES Networking (WAN, LAN, WLAN) If you need to set up network devices as desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, PDAs and smart phones to backup data, share data, internet and other resources, Upgrade Systems Ltd is the right place. When setting up LAN, our scope runs from; i. Mapping the network ii. Laying trunks/conduits and cabling iii. Configuration of workstations iv. Setting up data/internet/mail servers Then for the WAN and WLAN, we configure systems according to subscriptions with the respective ISPs. Preventive Servicing Most cars run a maximum of 3000km before the next engine oil change is done, however, if this is not done, there is a significant reduction is the vehicle’s performance. Acceleration rate declines, ability to ascend a hill declines, e.t.c. Computers are machines as well, lack of preventive service gives way to dust infecting parts, viruses corrupting software/data, to mention but a few. If you want to step up the life span and general performance of your computers in execution of commands, please service them at least 2-3 times annually. However, if such parts are not found on our local market, we shall communicate within 24hrs of your approval. Computer Hardware & Software We shall supply computer parts, programs and printer parts as will be required for replacement from time to time. Such supplies shall entail hardware parts but not full sets of computers or printers. NB: Ours is a service company that services, repairs, and supplies computer parts but not supply of computer sets and printers. Therefore, we shall replace, repair and service any parts as may be required by your entity, but shall not supply computers and printers.
