The first day of the writeshop centered around insightful lectures that delved into key aspects of proposal writing. Building blocks of inclusive projects and ways how to include business models in their solutions as well as the development of persona, value proposition, and marketing strategies were also discussed. Participants received in-depth guidance on understanding the problem, setting objectives, preparing a comprehensive log frame, and implementing effective monitoring and evaluation strategies. On the second day, attendees were further enlightened with a discussion on project evaluation criteria and received a brief lecture on enhancing inclusivity and impact. Proposals initially presented by the participants encompassed a diverse range of themes, including disaster education, livelihood support for low-income communities, smart farming technologies, environmental initiatives, and ICT-based technological solutions. It will also accelerate IB Research, education and implementation in Asia and generate novel case studies enriching the global IB community. Present in the said event were Dr. Tirso A. Philippine Competition Commission is a quasi-judicial body mandated to implement Republic Act No. 10667 or the Philippine Competition Act (PCA as well as the National Competition Policy (NCP). On May 19, 2023, PCC Delegates together with the BatStateU ESO Officials conducted a institutional collaboration meeting to discuss the PCC's plan in setting up a program that would engage State Universities and Colleges in mobilizing competition policy advocates in their respective geographic spheres and influence. Thus, the PCC's Competition Local Advisory Network (CLAN) aims to capacitate the Extension Program/Units of SUCs to create a culture of fair competition. It was also discussed in the meeting the future collaboration of PCC and BatStateU about the creation of an agreement which will identify potential pool of trainers from the university who will undergo training and they will serve as a resource persons in facilitating trainings and seminars that will focus on SMEs, community partners and other stakeholders. Present in the meeting were Delegates from PCC, Assistant Directors and staff from Extension Service Office -Central Dr. Aimee Guia, Assoc. Prof. Maria Theresa Hernandez, Asst. Prof. Kristia Lei Reyes, Ms. Jaika Almira Agena from SIRC.
