With best wishes and regards S.C.Mangla Manager Our Endeavour In Creating Awareness- PHR Campaign Maharaja Agrasen Model School has been consolidating and strengthening the campaign - PUBLIC HEALTH RESPONSE TO COVID 19 - APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR all through the year wherein the interactive online sessions were conducted with the parents and students of classes PS to XII to create awareness and sensitize all the stakeholders to wear masks, follow physical distancing and maintain hand hygiene as appropriate behaviour in view of the pandemic. A session was conducted for the administrative and support staff to create mass awareness. This unlock strategy calls for sensitization as well as a habit to face the new normal situation in the world. Online Parent-Teacher Meetings were also conducted for all classes which were attended by parents, teachers and students. Agile and sensitive students as well as parents attended the campaign thereby agreeing to follow the norms suggested to keep everyone safe in the society. The Principal Dr. Pratibha Kohli reiterated that if the safety habits are practiced at the cellular level, it will not be difficult for the country to overcome this unprecedented situation. A PowerPoint presentation was also shared that focused upon various methods that can keep us safe like how to wear a mask, when to maintain social physical distance and how to wash our hands. On the culmination of the session, a Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Vice Principal Ms. Simmi Bhatia. The campaign instituted at MAMS was welcomed and appreciated by all the stakeholders. 2

In the session, she spoke about the different safety measures to get safe on the web and to avoid trolling in the cyber world. Every individual looks forward to learning something from cooking to artificial intelligence to keep them engaged as well as extending their knowledge. Every teacher urges to improve their pedagogical competencies as there is a need to address a diverse group of students. On this auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the students delivered short speeches in the classes on the theme ‘Non-Violence’ depicting the life of the great man who lived on the principles of ahimsa and non-violence. Activities encompassing a wide range of initiatives and ideas were conducted to promote, protect, and sustain everyone's mental health. Storytelling sessions organized in English and Hindi by the teachers did not just act as a means of teaching and entertaining but also promoted cognitive health. Stories were shared through videos that sparked positive dialogue and brought the subject of youth mental health to the fore and amplified the message to live in a way that is compelling, inspiring, and informative. As an extension to storytelling sessions, poster making and slogan writing activities were taken up which propelled students to reflect on different aspects of mental well-being and create awareness for the same. All students participated in the activities enthusiastically and contributed their bit in spreading awareness of psychosocial balance and well-being. A special morning assembly was organized for class XII to commemorate the Childrens' Day and also to inspire the students to celebrate an eco-friendly Diwali. The program commenced with the principal’s address in which she inspired students to celebrate the occasion by realizing the need of taking care of the mother earth and keeping safe during this pandemic. It was followed by poems, speeches presented by the teachers of the school. Dr. Dilawer Singh guided the students to handle the situation well through his short poem in Hindi. Ms. Deepa Chawla reflected upon the nostalgic experience of teachers and students through her self-composed poem titled ‘Something Students’. Entertaining skits marked the celebration well. The online celebration culminated on a positive note spreading exuberance and optimism. Constitution Day Constitution Day was celebrated online on November 26, 2020. The special day saw reading of the preamble followed by Pledge taking ceremony in all the classes. Interesting and knowledgeable information was shared with the students in the classes. The celebration initiated the students to be aware and spread awareness regarding the importance of our constitution, our duties as well as our rights. He informed the students about IMU, CET-the national level entrance exam which is conducted by INDIAN MARITIME UNIVERSITY. He also gave the students first-hand information about the best 8 colleges in India that offer secure career opportunities in this field. An hour-long workshop on its culminating note had an interactive session wherein the students as well as the teachers clarified their doubts. CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS MAMS celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ with zeal and enthusiasm. Students prepared Christmas cards for their friends. As part of the celebrations, the students dressed in red and white and sang melodious carols. The significance of the festival was explained to the students. The students also spoke about the true meaning of Christmas and the history behind ornaments like the shining star on the tree, silver bells, red and white candy, wreaths, candles and Santa Claus. Students from classes III – XI participated in the event and earned certificates for coding. Harshit Gupta of Class IV C won 32 certificates during the event. More than 200 students participated in the event and learnt coding. AI for Oceans, Dance Party, Silent Python Teacher are a few names for coding activities performed by the students. . NATIONAL YOUTH DAY Ebullient students of our school participated actively in online competitions to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand as National Youth Day on January 12,2021. The youngsters took up the celebration delightfully and filled it with the hues of creativity as well as innovation. Conduct of online painting competition, Poem composition, Essay writing based on the principles of Swami Vivekananda and inspiring lectures of motivational speakers infused them with motivation and optimism. Ramanujan Day Celebration Commemorating the 100th Death Anniversary Year of the Mathematics Wizard S. Ramanujan on his Birthday, December 22, 2020, an array of activities was conducted to inspire students and instill the Math-e-Magic in them. Students of classes I and II actively engaged in The Fantastic World of Mathematics conducted through YouTube modules. Class III gained insights into the importance of zero with The Mighty Zero., a video that made the day enjoyable for children. Students of classes IV to VIII participated in the Quiz on the life history and contribution of Ramanujan. Students of classes IX to XII were shown PowerPoint presentations on the life of Ramanujan. CELEBRATIONS GALORE Special Days and Weeks National Science Day National Science Day is celebrated in India on February 28 every year to mark the discovery of Raman effect by Sir C.V. Raman on February 28, 1928. Our school also celebrated National Science Day on February 28,2021 on the theme ‘Science and Technology for Specially-Abled Persons.’ Students from classes IV to VIII participated in the programme. Various activities were organized in which students and teachers too participated. A skit highlighting the importance of science in everyday life and an article on the \"Significance of National Science Day\" was presented by the students. An informative talk was presented by students on various scientific gadgets for specially-abled people. This was followed by a ‘teacher student interactive activities session’. Fun filled science activities- Rocking candles, Tea bag rocket, Balloon rocket, Balloon hovercraft, Bursting balloon trick, were performed by students to highlight certain scientific principles.
