ABOUT Susan Norris Hello! I am a graphic designer, but I’m also many other titles. I am a former teacher, a committed partner, a dog mom. I also have many passions such as skiing, hiking, biking, and coaching. All those titles influence my vision and my perspective as a person but as a creative person. I’ve related my previous experience in writing a lesson plan to my graphic design process. As a graphic designer, our job is to determine the purpose of the design and implement it. While this is the job we have as designers, why have I chosen this as my profession? I enjoy creating pieces that are impactful and memorable for clients while creating a collaborative, fun, and relaxed experience. 2
SELF BRANDING Susan Norris Graphic Design During school we were tasked with coming up with our own branding package. As it will suit our needs for our futures as graphic designers. My brand represents the simplicity that I try to represnt in my designs. I’ve learned throughout school that design shouldn’t be over thought., the simpler the better. You’ll notice in the logo that it’ essentially a rectangle with lines blocking out the letters. Again, very simple, yet effective as an overall logo. 4
PROCESS WORK Preliminary Initially I wanted to explore my own handwriting, but ultimately found Sketches ways to connect the initials of my name. The sketch I chose to pursue ended up being one of my last ideas. 5
Font Selection Josefine a sans serif that is slightly feminine in character but yet still holds a modern feel that I chose for my branding font. Teal as a color “combines the calming properties of blue with the renewal qualities of green. Digital Drafts I came up with several digital draft iterations searching for the one that made the most sense. Playing around with the idea of negative space and the lines used to create the shapes of the S and N. 7

Final Iterations All of the print products reflect clean and minimal designs. My brand throughout is consistent and easy to comprehend. The logo is obvious and also in a very prominent are of all the materials. 9
