I did a massive animation project once that nearly gave me RSI, I've only ever used a tablet and pen since and can work comfortably all day. If you get mouse strain in your hand, GET A TABLET BEFORE YOU DAMAGE YOUR HANDS! I've had a Wacom Intuos for years but it's gone cranky. I'd often thought about buying a Huion Tablet, but I'd always worried about the battery pen, thinking it would be heavy... but it turns out it's not. Actually I'd say it is lighter and more comfortable - the Wacom pen is pretty clunky. The tablet is wireless. There is an 8gb usb disk/stick hidden underneath, which doubles as the wireless dongle. I had a little trouble with installation, the cursor was offset from the brush in Photoshop, however this ISN'T a Huion problem it was due to my dual screen setup, once I deactivated my second monitor then reactivated it was all good. The 12 hotkeys are great and were very easy to setup with my most used functions. The pen is not too heavy and not too light..just right for me. The work area is enormous and I use it over both of my monitors which still leaves a good sized work area to draw in. Very good product, very well built and surpasses my expectations (I've using graphics tablets for 18 years). I love the design, weight and feel. It's a pleasure to draw on and it is nice and large. I chose this because of pricing to quality. I would only recommend this if you are certain you want a larger drawing tablet, there are alternatives in this brand or others. Customer service has been excellent, I had a driver issue which I believe to be a problem on my end and they have promptly responded with instructions on reinstalling their driver and disabling the windows native tablet driver which has solved my issue. 9 people found this helpful Helpful Comment Report abuse Phil Christie Great tablet with huge drawing area and long battery life! 18 February 2018 Size: WH1409+Accessories Verified Purchase I bought this Huion WH1409 tablet to replace a Huion 1060 Plus which had finally bitten the dust (broken port on the tablet) after many years of good service. My partner is a freelance artist, who swears by Huion and has had a bad experience with Wacom in the past. The first thing that leaps out is how huge this tablet is! It is by far the largest active drawing area I've ever seen, with a clean matte finish on the top. It's a fair amount heavier than any tablet I've seen before, but this is still perfectly manageable. It comes with a generous assortment of accessories, including an extra pen and loads of extra nibs, plus is backwards compatible with older Huion pens - my partner never needs to worry about losing pens again! Whilst this tablet notionally has less pressure levels, my partner hasn't noticed this at all whilst using it. They praise the large drawing area, allowing them to work far more easily on details in their art, and not having to zoom in as much. It's a lot more ergonomic too, with my partner noting it is very good for use over longer periods of time - the larger space favours broader movements, and a lot less strain on the wrists. ThReeyawdemreovreery reluctant to get rid of their old 1060 Plus, but this tablet has blown my partner away.
