Brainstorm The Battle of Adwa: Ethiopia wins the battle against the Italians who attempted to colonize our contry. I want to tell the event from the perspective of the Ethiopian soldiers. The questions I want to raise are what a strong sense of unity can do for a country and if technological advances determine the strength of a country. The voices of my piece will be the Ethiopian soldiers and they will ex- press the strength it took to win a battle that they didn’t have the advan- tage to win. I hope to inform my classmates and non-Habeshas who may see my piece about this important victory and inspire Ethiopians (both back home and here) to have a sense of oneness.
