The meetings include executive meetings, statutory council meetings and emergency meetings.4.0 ACTIVITIES OF THE FELLOWSHIP: We make bold to say here that the youth of this Diocese has in no small measure contributed immensely to the growth of the Diocese spiritually and otherwise. This is shown by some of the activities carried out within the period. They include the following:4.1 Waiting Upon The Lord: This as usual has been the opening program of the AYF for the past 20years or more, throughout the Diocese and for this year, the theme was “GOD's AGENDA” which took place from 1st to 7th Jan,2015. REPORTS TO THE THIRD SESSION OF THE ELEVENTH SYNOD.4.2 Leadership Retreat: As a way of equipping the leaders of the fellowship from unit to Diocesan level and reposition them for a better service a leadership retreat was put in place on Saturday 7th April'2015 at All Saint Church, Airport Road, Warri with the theme “Sacrifice in services” it was very edifying.4.3 Youth Week Celebration: The last youth week celebration was well celebrated throughout the Diocese from Monday 5th-to Sunday 11th Sept'2014 with the theme “OVERCOMING THE NATURAL MAN” (1Cor2:18-19). This program has actually helped the youth ministry in many ways, such as developing and uplifting their God given talent and expanding their spiritual life. Infact it has been very impactful and enriching although we still have some parishes that could not celebrate theirs due to clashes of program by their local churches, to these we call for more support by the church authority to enable the youth to function or operate.4.4 Bible Study: Bible study has been a very important segment of the Anglican Youth fellowship and as a Diocese we made use of the unified AYF National Bible Study Outline in all Units and this has helped us a lot. The various Archdeaconries /Units held their Bible Study Conferences within the months of April to June, 2014, while our Diocesan Bible Study Conference was held at St. Peter Anglican Church, Igbudu Warri from 4th – 10th July,2014 with the theme: “Alpha and Omega”. The Diocese also attended the National Bible Study Conference at Umuahia in Abia State from Sat 6th to Sun 10th Aug' 2014. Thanks be to God Almighty.4.5 Welfare: The fellowship also made the welfare of members a priority as members who were faced with various kinds of challenges and those with various form of celebration/event were attended to and this has greatly affected the fellowship positively. We thank God for His goodness.4.6. Evangelism: The fellowship has made evangelism a major task as demanded by our Lord Jesus Christ. Within the period, the fellowship embank on evangelism outreach at Ifiekporo and Ajaetan on the 3rd -5th March,2014 where six (6) convert were won for Christ. Also in line with the National Council of AYF, a 2 by 2 evangelism was carried out by the various Archdeaconries / Units in the month of October,2014.4.7 Sisters Forum: The peculiar nature of the sisters has always made the fellowship to give more attention to the sisters so as to become more modest. Within this period the sister's forum held their 21st annual seminal/workshop on the 28th – 29th Nov '2014 and also a one day solemn assembly on April 26th 2014. REPORTS TO THE THIRD SESSION OF THE ELEVENTH SYNOD. 13. SYNOD 2015 BIBLE STUDYTHEME: “The Marks of Jesus: The Christian's Inner Qualities and Characteristics”STUDY 1: The Christians Inner Qualities and Characters 1.AIMS: To identify the following qualities and characteristics as evidences of Christ's dwelling and ownership of our livesTEXT: - The forgiveness of Injuries of Offences; - Authentic Servant hood; and - Inner Strength & Peace. Mark 7:20-23; Galatians 6:14-18; Matthew 20:35-45; Colossians 3:12-17INTRODUCTIONThe Brand marks/symbols, or seal/stamp of ownership are common means of identification ofproducts world-wide. Believers in Christ are called Christians, which gives the idea that suchpersons are like “little Christ's”. Jesus both practiced and taught the great act of forgiveness ofall injuries and offences; He demonstrated and emphasized to His disciples true servant –leadership quality; and in all, there was always present the inner poise, strength and peace. Itwill be good for us, who claim and except the name 'Christian' first given to believers in Antioch(Acts 11:26) to imbibe these vital brand marks of Jesus in our lives.STUDY GUIDE/DISCUSSION1. Identify and briefly discuss the occasion and extent of forgiveness shown by the Lord Jesus in the following passages. Luke 23:34; John 8:11 and Luke 22:31-34.2. From the passages below, how does Christ's example of forgiveness apply to us? Matthew 18:21-22; Luke 22:32-36; Ephesians 4:31-32; 1Peter 3:8-9.3. What is Christ's teaching and practice on leadership and servant hood? Mark 10:41-45; John 13:2-5, 12-17; and Philippians 2:5-8.4. How did Jesus live? Luke 4:14; Luke 2:49, 4:28-32; Matthew 27:11-14.5. How should our thought, words and action be directed in life? 2 Corinth. 4:1-2, 7-10,16- 18; Acts 6:10.6. What is God's promise and assurance to us in lives situations?CONCLUSIONOur individual identity as disciples, servants and children of God through our Lord JesusChrist have to show fully in our lives as obvious brand marks. It should be such that at any timewe can be declared by both friends and foes who can see beyond all reasonable doubt that webear the mark of Christ. From our forgiving spirit, servant hood as well as inner strength,Christ's beauty should be seen in us. Begin to develop these qualities and characteristics nowand continue in it all your life long.FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me:MEMORY VERSE: Galatians 6:17“Quite frankly, I don't want to be bothered anymore by these disputes. I have far moreimportant things to do – the serious living of this faith. I bear in any body scars from my serviceto Jesus.” (The Message) Galatians 6:17.1 7 1“THE MARKS OF JESUS: THE CHRISTIAN'S INNER QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS.” SAT. 3RD – WED. 6TH MAY, 2014.

REPORTS TO THE THIRD SESSION OF THE ELEVENTH SYNOD.STUDY 2: The Christian's Inner Qualities and Characteristics 2AIMS: To explore more areas of our branding in Christ:- The Ability to look for the Good in even Difficult Circumstances;- Focused Determination and- Managing time.TEXT: Galatians 4:1-5, 12-14; John 6:35-40; 11:1-10INTRODUCTION:Again, we want to examine three more great qualities and teachings of Christ which the Lordhas set before us as vital branding in the Christian life. Jesus saw beyond the gloomycondition of the demons possessed man to bring to pass his state after deliverance. Also,Jesus always had a focus and was determined to achieve that goal. Further more, Jesus keptto the right time for every duty without allowing any external threats or conditions to influenceor stop the needed action.STUDY GUIDE/DISUCSSION1. Identify the difficulties and how Jesus responded to them in these passages: Matthew 14:13-16; Luke 20:20-26; john 8:1-11.2. What should our altitude and actions be based on in times of difficulties? Roman 8:28; Philippians 1:12-14; 1 John 1:1-5; John 11:23-26.3. What was the single-minded and focused determination of Jesus in His earthly ministry? Luke 2:49; John 4:31 – 34, 6:35-40.4. What should we expect from being double minded? James 1:5-8; Mark 10:17-25. What should you do to be single-minded and focused?5. How did Jesus manage His time? John 7:3-10; 11:7-10. What would you have done on these occasions?6. What should you and I do concerning our time-management? 1 Corinthians 9:24-26; Philippians 2:13.CONCLUSIONEvery difficult situation and obstacle can become great stepping stone and opportunity forclimbing higher, if only we took for the good therein. The will of the Father is always the best forus. Seeking only His will and single-minded focused determination on it makes us moreChrist-like. Be in charge of your time under God. Ask the Lord for His enablement to be a goodsteward of your time as Jesus was.FOOD FOR THOUGHT:Our Lord Jesus Christ had enough time to complete the will of the Father for His life when hereon planet earth; so too do you and I. May we so live by His grace and power.MEMORY VERSE: John 11:38“For I have come down from heave not to do My will but to do the will of Him who sent Me”,John 11:38.1 7 2“THE MARKS OF JESUS: THE CHRISTIAN'S INNER QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS.” SAT. 3RD – WED. 6TH MAY, 2014.

REPORTS TO THE THIRD SESSION OF THE ELEVENTH SYNOD.STUDY 3: The Christian's Inner Qualities and Characteristics 3AIMS: To imbibe more virtues and characteristics of Christ as our Brand marks in the areas of:- No Self Pity- Prayerful Dependence upon God and- Abundant Overflowing JoyTEXT: Luke 23:26-43; Philippians 4:4-7;INTRODUCTION:Above Brand Marks of Jesus Christ in the life of a believer have far reaching consequencesboth in the individual involved and his/her surrounding. Their positive presence attractsunbelievers to the Lord Jesus while their negative presence can be very serious repellant tothe unsaved from accepting salvation. Even in the worst of circumstances, Jesus Christ didnot show any sign of self pity. If Jesus, being divine still devoted Himself to constant andpersistent prayer to God, depending so much in prayer to God, we who are only humans needeven more demonstration of our prayerful dependence on our LORD God. Finally, ourChristian race should not be run in gloom but in abundant overflowing joy.STUDY GUIDE/DISUCSSION1. What is self pity? What factors convince you that Jesus did not show self pity in Luke 23:26-43? How did Elijah show self pity and to what extent? 1 Kings 19:1-18.2. How can we avoid self pity in our lives? Romans 15:1-2.3. To what degree or extent did Jesus have to pray? Luke 6:12-13, Mark 1:35-37.4. How should Christians pray? Acts 12:5; Philippians 4:6-7.5. Describe the joy expressed by Jesus in Luke 10:21 and John 15:11.6. What is God's will for us? 1 Thess. 5:16-19.CONCLUSIONOur commitment and branding in Christ should be God directed, not self directed. With thatwe can avoid all forms of self pity, but be God dependent in prayer and have the abundantoverflowing joy of the Lord in us. Remember that even with best anointed Brand Marks orOwner's Stamp of Christ Jesus on us, the enemy, the devil and his agents will try us with evilkicks back. We should not be moved negatively by them, rather move forward in faith towardsfull victory.MEMORY VERSE: John 15:11“I have told you these things, that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy andgladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing”.
