Lychee is a tropical fruit of Chinese origin, but now has expanded its growing area globally; mainly in subtropical regions, particularly, in Asia. Belong to the same family with rambutan and longan, the lychee is recognized by its thin pinkish-red skin, with rough texture although it was green before ripens. The fruit is varied in shape, from round, to oval, or heart-shaped. Inside, the edible white flesh is juicy, fresh, and sweet, giving off a pleasant floral smell.
