ELEMENTARY SCHOOL INFORMATION BOOKLET

Welcome to Bahamas Elite Sports Academy Elementary School! In an effort to help your child successfully develop, the Academy has added safety measure that all students will enjoy and be educating in a COVID-19 free environment. With this in mind fees had to be temporary adjusted to fully accommodate and meet COVID-19 standards. ADMISSIONS APPLICATIONS CAN ONLY BE CONSIDER WHEN THE COMPLETED, SIGNED APPLICATION FORM IS RECEIVED AND THE APPLICATION FEE PAID APPLICATION FEE: The completed application should be submitted along with the $100 Application Fee to the academy’s Accounts Office. Applica- tions sent in after February for the ensuing year should be accompanied by an additional $25 late Application Fee (Total = $125.00). This is a charge payable by all applicants and is neither refundable nor deductible from fees should the child be accepted. This fee covers the cost of processing and does not guarantee a space. The deadline for submission of applications is on or before February 15 for ALL SECTIONS of the Academy. Should the child be successful in obtaining a seat, two non-refundable fees are payable — an Academy Development Fee of $450.00 and a Seat Fee of $300.00 are both due upon acceptance of the seat. The Seat Fee is applied towards the first term’s tuition. Academy Development Fee - The fee will become a part of the Academy Development Fund, which will be used by the academy to enhance (and where necessary replace) the academy facilities that the student will be using during his/her time at Bahamas Elite Sports Academy, thus improving the capacity for us to provide elite programs for which Bahamas Elite Sports Academy is known. ADDITIONAL FEES THAT ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE SCHOOL ANNUAL FEES- Meal plan fee- Plan (A) $3,000.00 ( lunch & drink) per annum Plan (B) $4,000.00 (breakfast, lunch & drink) per annum Uniform fee $440.00- Package A (1 bottom,1 long sleeve shirt ,1 golf shirts , 1 necktie, 1 vest & 1 blazer) $800.00 Package B (2 bottom, 2 long sleeve shirt, 2 golf shirts, 1 necktie, 1 vest 1 blazer & 1 Pair of approved school shoes) LATE FEE – Please note that a LATE FEE (presently $100.00) will be applied to each student’s account if fees are not paid by the due date. Parents and guardians should allow and budget for possible increases in future years. TUITION ACCOUNTS AND PAYMENTS A tuition account is given a family code. Siblings who are current Bahamas Elite Sports Academy students will be linked by a family code. A tuition bill will reflect fees for all students that have been linked under one family code. Fees can be paid via cheque or debit or credit card at the Accounts Office. Fees can also be paid online via First Caribbean, or at First Caribbean Palmdale Branch. Payment of fees for the whole year is not accepted via credit or debit card. The Accounts Office does not accept cash for tuition payments. STUDENT ACCIDENT INSURANCE: The academy provides an academy-time Student Accident Insurance. For $50.00 per year, there is 24-hour coverage, including academy vacations. This insurance is included in the first term’s fees to ensure your child/children’s participation in any academy trips (Family Island or international) throughout the year. NOTE: Information on students / student records will only be released to the parent(s) responsible for the child’s academy fees (to whom bills are sent), as indicated on the Application for Admissions. 2) Only students for whom completed application and acceptance forms are received will be considered to be enrolled. This includes all medical information, and a academy profile with information on the student from their prior academy(s).
