LEARN TO SWIM STARFISH A Introduction to Water (one to one). OBJECTIVES STARFISH B Improve water confidence, skills and get the PER GROUP swimmer moving around the pool using aids. TADPOLES A Swimmer develops fundamental aquatic skills eg. floating, simple movements and jumps to the deep end with confidence, and swim with simple movement (dog style). TADPOLES B Swimmer can swim basic front crawl and back crawl distance of 20m from the deep end.

STROKE DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES SEALS Swimmer can swim basic front crawl and back PER GROUP crawl, breaststroke and dolphin movement for a distance of 25m. OTTERS Swimmer can swim front crawl and back crawl, breaststroke and butterfly movement for a distance of 50m with basic starts and turns.

STROKE IMPROVEMENT MINNOWS Swimmer is competent in the water and swims all four (4) main strokes (back crawl, front crawl, OBJECTIVES butterfly and breaststroke). The aim is to improve PER GROUP strokes and become more efficient. Butterfly strokes, dives and turns are also covered. DOLPHINS Swimmer is competent in the water and swims all four (4) main strokes back crawl (50m in 55 secs), front crawl (50m in 55 secs), butterfly and breaststroke. A swimmer at this level is refining and showing good techniques in starts and turns and participates in national or regional galas.

TRAIN TO TRAIN BARRACUDA Swimmer is competent in the water and swims all four main strokes and completes professional OBJECTIVES starts and turns. The swimmer should be able to PER GROUP do all the drills for all four (4) strokes. He / She should be able to complete the workout of 10x50m freestyle resting on 15 secs, 10x100m resting on 20 secs. TRAIN TO COMPETE BARRACUDA Refinement in strokes, development of skills necessary to qualify for international level competitions. Workouts are intense and swimmer requires determination and mental preparedness. A swimmer should be able to successfully complete a test set of 30x100m free @ 1:15 and 5x200m IM @ 2:45.

TRAIN TO WIN BARRACUDA During this stage, training continues to develop strength, develop core body strength and maintain OBJECTIVES agility and flexibility. The emphasis is on PER GROUP specialization and performance enhancement. Swimmers are trained for specific competitions and specific individual events.
