Shnider agree to Co-Chair the Council. Topics of discussion across the first two meetings included the College’s Strategic Plan and Reconciliation Action Plan. Once again throughout 2021, the College delivered the majority of its examinations and assessments utilising an online format. This has proven to be a highly efficient and popular shift, with positive feedback from candidates that no longer have to travel and take time away from families and work, with all of the costs that this normally entails. The additional benefit is our reduced environmental footprint, particularly from reduced air travel. 2021 also saw the introduction of the qualification’s pathway for specialist dentists. Previously, only graduates of universities that the College held memorandum of understandings with were able to directly apply for Membership. That eligibility now includes all universities accredited by the Australian Dental Council and Dental Council of New Zealand. Another change agreed in November 2021 was the introduction of Membership eligibility for candidates successful in the Primary Examination.
