Call to Worship One: Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on us! All: On this Trinity Sunday, we pray that the power of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit rests, rules and reigns among us. One: Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on us! Melt us, mold us, fill us, use us. All: On this Trinity Sunday, we pray that the power of God the Creator, the Redeemer and the Sustainer empowers us to be the church. One: As we celebrate the Trinity, we are reminded of how the Godhead works in unity — with itself and with us. All: Today, we worship God who makes us one with Christ, one with each other and one in ministry to all the world! One: Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on us! All: May the Spirit’s fire cleanse us. May the Spirit’s wind move us. To God be the glory! Amen.

The Spoken Word “New Birth and New Blessings!” John 3:1-27 and Isaiah 6:1-8 RSeve. rEmleaonnor NL.oCtoelvsin Key Scriptures:   John 3:5-6 – Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.” Isaiah 6:5-7 – “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.” Isaiah 6:8 – Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Romans 8:16-17 – The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs — heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Key Questions: 1.Have you ruled yourself out for service because of your past, as Isaiah did? Can you hear the voice of God calling and commissioning you, despite you? 2.Do you believe the testimony of the Spirit – that declares you are God’s child? If so, what are you doing that declares you are a part of the family? 3.Nicodemus went to Jesus, during the night, to better understand his teachings. What steps are you taking to hear from Christ? 4.If we are born of the Spirit, and the Spirit gives birth to Spirit … then what characteristics should be alive in us? _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________
