Call to Worship One: Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on us! All: On this Day of Pentecost, let the power of the Holy Ghost blow free in this place! One: Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on us! Melt us, mold us, fill us, use us. All: Melt the chains limiting our spiritual imagination; mold our hearts and minds, so that they may be used by you. One: Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on us! All: May the Spirit’s fire cleanse us. May the Spirit’s wind move us. One: On this Pentecost Sunday, as we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit – All: We worship and praise God, who — by the power of the Spirit – empowers us to be the church. To God be the glory!

The Spoken Word “Spirit Fall Fresh” Acts 2:1-21 RSeve. rEmleaonnor NL.oCtoelvsin Key Scriptures:   John 14:15-17 — If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. John 14:26 – But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. John 16:13 – But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. Acts 2:4 -- All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. Acts 2:17-18 – In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. Acts 2:19-21 – I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below … And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Key Questions: 1.Have you come into worship with a spirit of expectancy? Do you think you know how the story goes? 2.Can you imagine being anchored in God’s grace and Christ’s peace, and still being flexible enough to move when/where/how the Spirit leads? 3.What characteristic of the Holy Spirit do you need most in this season? The Advocate, the Comforter, the Teacher, the Guide…? _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________
