Call to Worship One: Sing! Sing unto the Lord! All: Let’s make a joyful noise unto the Lord! Let’s worship God with gladness. One: We were made to worship! So, we come into God’s presence with singing! All: For we are God’s people! The God who created us, understands and enjoys our stories and songs, our harmonies and melodies. One: Sing! Sing unto the Lord! All: Let’s give thanks to God and bless God’s holy name. One: For God is great and worthy to be praised! All: God’s steadfast love endures forever – throughout the generations, including our own. So, let’s worship – let’s sing a new song!

The Spoken Word “The Soundtrack of Our Faith” Psalm 100 Rev. Eleanor L. Colvin Sermon Notes Key Scriptures:   Psalm 100:1-2 – Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Psalm 100:4-5 – Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. Psalm 98:1 – Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous Things … Psalm 98:7 -- Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. Psalm 96:1-4 – Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise!

Key Questions: 1.What is your go-to song that gets you motivated? What do you love about it? 2.Do you need different motivational songs based on what you’re doing? Cleaning the house, exercising, finishing homework, being about God’s work? 3.If you were communicating your faith story or testimony, what songs would make the soundtrack? 4.What are some of the treasured songs of faith that you inherited from parents, grandparents, from church “back-in- the-day”? (It doesn’t matter what year back-in-the-day was for you.) _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________
