Call to Worship One: Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on us! All: Bless us to worship God and God alone. One: Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on us! Melt us, mold us, fill us, use us. All: Bless us to serve God and God alone. One: Lord, we thank You for Your Word – that still stands and is still true. All: May your word instruct us, inspire us and guide us – as we glorify You. One: Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on us! All: May the Spirit’s fire cleanse us. May the Spirit’s wind move us. To God be the glory! Amen.

The Spoken Word “God’s Word — Still Standing Tall!” Mr. Vernon Moore Sermon Notes Key Scriptures:   1 Corinthians 15:58 - Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. Romans 12:2 - And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. John 16:33 - These things I have spoken to you, that in Me in you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. James 1:12 - Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been proved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Ephesians 6:13 - Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Joshua 1:9 - Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Psalm 46:10 - Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! Key Questions: 1. How has your faith in the Word of God been sustained in the midst of the adverse situations that have occurred in our society in the last 18 months? 2. In what way have you been equipped with the Word of God that has allowed you to go forward? _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ _________________________________________________

Here’s What’s Happening at 1st Church -SUNDAY SCHOOL is BACK! Let’s learn together on the FIRST and THIRD Sundays. Use the worship link to log on at 9:30 a.m. Timeliness is important — as you must be placed in the Sunday School room by the moderator. -July 4th – There won’t be any worship fireworks, but we will celebrate 5 years in ministry with Rev. Eleanor Colvin on the first Sunday in July! If you haven’t returned to campus yet, it would be a great Sunday to do so, as we kick off a new “annual conference” year in ministry. Your presence will help make “5-on-the-4th” a truly special day for the pastor and the church. You’re encouraged to bring a card or note of encouragement for Pastor Eleanor. -SAVE THE DATE – Vacation Bible School will take place the week of July 19. More details coming soon! -Bible Study – We will not gather for bible study in June. But, please don’t take a vacation from your discipleship! Keep reading the Word and sharing it with others.
