Shooting Sports TrekNRA and NAA instructors take you through several disciplines of shooting sports. Each day of the week youcan spend on a different shooting discipline. We offer pistol, rifle, shot gun, black powder pistol and blackpowder rifle as well as archery action archery and 3D archery are available after you complete the staticarchery course.The NRA instructors will teach you the fundamentals of pistol, rifle, muzzleloading, and shotgun shootingskills with safety always foremost in mind. They'll introduce you to the fine art of competitive shooting, rifleand pistol silhouette, and bullseye disciplines plus shotgun savvy. Or, how about learning to shoot blackpowder muzzleloading rifles, much like those the mountain men used? How about firing high power rifles aswell?During the week, you can earn one of the firearms disciplines (pistol, rifle, shotgun) and start your way downthe Winchester Marksmanship program all the way to distinguished expert.There is a $40.00 per person additional fee to cover the cost of ammunition.This trek can also become a Kodiak Trek ask your GPSR Crew guide for details.
Goose Pond Scout Reservation Venturing Camp treks are marked by the same commitment to excellence, high quality equipment, and outstanding service the Scouting world has come to expect of us. Fees: Venturing camp early bird $ 330.00 by 7/14/2015 Venturing camp regular $ 360.00 after 7/14/2015 Shooting Sports Trek add $40.00 per person. Each adult Advisor is 100.00 / week. Program activities are for youth only.Camp fees are generally not refundable other than in the case of hardships oran emergency. In order to be considered for reimbursement, a refund must berequested by the unit leadership during camp. The $50 reservation portion ofthe fee is non-refundable. All refunds will be reviewed following camp.Crew registration Deposit: $100.00 enclosed with reservation form. Yourdeposit will be credited to your crew’s total camp bill.As with all high adventure activities, participants should be prepared for anappropriate level of activity.It is suggested that Venturers and Advisors interested in attending VenturingCamp prepare themselves physically prior to arrival. Participants in theClimbing Adventure should be prepared for moderate hiking with a moderate toheavy load followed by strenuous climbs.This opportunity is available to all registered Venturers. Although crewparticipation is encouraged, it is not mandatory. Individual Venturers arewelcome to attend, as well as full crews!
