Any changes to the roof surfacing will require careful detailing and workmanship to ensure that a watertight roof system is maintained. Project #3: Installation of two bathrooms and single bathroom Providing water and sanitary lines to the new bathrooms will involve coordinating with the existing conditions of the building. The design will need to take into consideration minimizing cost and disruption to existing renovated spaces. Project #4: 2 new classrooms and two 100 SF offices The main task with this additional programmatic space is Mamie D. Lee Health Clinic ensuring it feels integrated with the existing building. Framing the Future (Virtual) Gala 2021 Concept and Overview The reimagined virtual Framing the Future Gala will have many familiar elements to years past and new elements to meet the needs and challenges of the current year. Last year’s gala was a forced pivot to a virtual format, while the event was a success, we have taken learnings from that event , listened to our community, donors and other supporters to plan for an all virtual event that will engage our community and raise needed funds for Two Rivers. The gala typically raises from $140,000-$160,000 for Two Rivers. The 2020 gala raised $100,000. Event Look and Feel: Typically, each year the gala theme has a color scheme that differs from Two Rivers colors. This year, given that there are many new families who have never experienced a Two Rivers event, and our current families who have fewer touchpoints with our usual events and branding because of the virtual environment – we’ve chosen to use Two Rivers colors throughout the design of all Framing the Future Gala publications. Event Elements: Online Auction. Will run the week prior to the virtual gala celebration, closing at midnight on April 30th, will allow plenty of time for all to view and bid on the items. The auction will include many items that our community has come to love, the art and baskets; with a limited number of travel packages, as we want to ensure we offer items that are desired and useful during a pandemic. This year, knowing in advance that the

auction is entirely virtual, we’ve made a plan to better photograph and “sell” the art. In person viewing of the art pieces at the gala helps to drive higher prices. We will feature the artists, including some multimedia elements to showcase the artists and pieces for auction on our social media channels and through eblasts to the community. The student art portion of the auction will also look a bit different, as we are working with art teachers to determine the best way to ensure that students and parents are able to participate without adding an additional burden on families. Art teachers have been quite creative and we think there will be some pieces that will be a great representation of our students’ work during virtual instruction. Raffle. We will use a new, online giving platform, Give Butter, this year, for raffle sales functionality, easy mobile and team giving. This platform will complement the existing Greater Giving platform that we use to manage ticket sales and the auction. We hope that a raffle will be another way to engage with donors and offer a lower cost item that is not cost prohibitive ($10 raffle ticket) for all to be able to participate. We also intend to leverage the support of the Grandparents Club to help sell raffle tickets as well as use our social media platforms. Winners will not be required to be present for the drawing, which will happen live, at the end of the Gala on April 30th. The raffle prizes are very exciting and have been underwritten by past corporate sponsors. The grand prize is a Peloton Bike (with an option to win the cash value if winner already owns a Peloton or does not want the bike). Second and Third prizes are a $750 Target Gift Card and a $500 Amazon gift card. Virtual Gala Celebration. Held on April 30th at 7pm; via Zoom; the 2021 Framing Gala will be a moment for the Two Rivers Community to gather virtually, celebrate the work of our students, honor our sponsors, select raffle winners and build enthusiasm for the auction, which will close later that evening. There will be student performances, coordinated by arts faculty, with professional video production, to best showcase the talents of our students, and efforts of our teachers. Optional Add on Meal/Drink packages. For most nonprofits, shifting to a virtual gala typically results in a major reduction in expenses. Two Rivers’ Framing Gala is not typical. We use space that is nearly free ($500 is our expense to rent Dock5, which rents to other clients for $15,000-$20,000 per weekend night), and much of our food and beverage is donated by the many local restaurants that have been long time supporters of Two Rivers. This year, we will include a pickup meal and beverage package options, partnering with B. Lin Catering, a long-standing Framing Gala vendor and donor, though this will change the revenue outlook for the event. Volunteer Leadership Structure: This year, instead of two volunteer gala co-chairs, we’ve decided to use a host committee model, with honorary chairs, new Executive Director, Dr. Kristina Kyles-Smith and her husband Lawrence Smith. The Gala co-chairs are Sam Swiller, current Two Rivers Parent, and Cassie Schupp, Foulger-Pratt.) This year’s host committee and volunteer leadership includes a diverse group of both returning Two Rivers parents as well as new parents.
