To prevent sidewalks from cracking in random spots and breaking apart, special cracks, or grooves are scraped into the concrete when a sidewalk is constructed. Individual parts bumping and pushing cause the whole to expand. Having sidewalks built in sections allows them to expand and contract a little bit on hot or cold days. If the whole thing were attached, it would buckle and break. If you're using concrete to make a sidewalk, the shrinking concrete will cause cracks to appear as it dries.
Using a Chisel, Make the Crack Wider at the Bottom than the Top. Clean Out the Debris with a Stiff Fiber or Wire Brush. Fill the Crack with Patching Mix (also know as Vinyl Concrete). Address Any Pop-Outs. Wet the Surface and Apply a Concrete Bonding Agent. Hire the best company that is providing great sidewalk repair service.
