The story went like this... Darlene, Fiona and I love eating eggs with English muffins, so the next Friday we decided to cook them for breakfast at work. As we started cooking everyone in the office could smell them and wished they had some too. While eating our eggs, we decided that maybe we should try to cook for everyone but then thought it would take too long to cook for twenty people in the frying pan. We had to think up a new way to cook them in bulk. That’s when we thought to use muffin trays and the oven! We did a test run in the oven with bacon and egg in the muffin holes. They worked perfectly. | | 16 OUR COMMUNITY Ms Pina Di Donato Board Chair The Turosi Trust 5 Lipton Drive Thomastown VIC 3074 29 June 2018 Dear Pina I hope this letter finds you well. In August 2017, the Turi Trust generously granted Kids Under Cover $10,000 in support of the Kids Under Cover Scholarship Program. Please find enclosed a report outlining the expenditure and allocation from this gift. A hard copy of the report will also be mailed to you today. You will see therein that the grant has provided for scholarships to support the continued education of twenty disadvantaged young people living in our accommodation; eleven young women and nine young men, funding 18 half-year and two full-year scholarships at an average value of around $470. Part of this gift also co-funded one of our 2017 Ken & Lenka Morgan Scholarships, which are conferred on a previous Kids Under Cover scholarship recipient each November at our Annual Celebration to support their ongoing educational growth and personal development. On behalf of these twenty-one recipients, please pass on our most sincere gratitude to the Committee for their continued support; it is helping these young people realise their potential. Subject to your review of and satisfaction with this report, I would of course welcome the opportunity to speak with you about the possibility of continued support from the Trust. Thank you for the faith you place in us. I hope the report provides you with confidence that our partnership is providing disadvantaged young people with hope and possibility. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about the report. Kind regards, Kerry Butcher Corporate Partnerships

| | 03 FEATHEROOM VOLUNTEERING The Good Friday Appeal is dedicated to raising crucial funds for The Royal Children’s Hospital. Since its inception, the Appeal has raised over $345 million dollars to support research, equipment, family-centred care, education and training. This year, the Good Friday Appeal raised an incredible $18,043,251. The strength and capacity of the Good Friday Appeal to achieve such great results is all thanks to the volunteers. Our very own Peter Rugg went along as a volunteer. Here are his thoughts about the experience. \"As a volunteer it was a very good day. The weather was great (not that it is ever an issue at Etihad). The crowds were very friendly and supportive of the GFA appeal and the volunteers. It was not uncommon for someone to insist on putting a fifty dollar note in the collector tin. There was a brisk sale of bunny ears. One had the opportunity to keep an eye on the match. Volunteers got to keep their T Shirt and Bunny Ears. We were allowed a break and received a lunch pack and or a half price meal. The shift was only a few hours long. In summary, if you enjoy supporting a worthwhile cause, enjoy the AFL, and want to use a free paid leave day then the GFA appeal has a lot going for it”. | OUR COMMUNITY 19 | The Brainwave Hospital Assistance Program The committee of Turosi Giving have recently funded the Brainwave Hospital Assistance Program. Established in 1994, Brainwave’s mission is to provide practical assistance and emotional support to children impacted by neurological conditions as well as their families and carers to positively impact their quality of life. On average, four children are admitted to the neurology wards at paediatric hospitals in Victoria every day. Brainwave exists to provide support to over 800 children and families impacted by epilepsy, cerebral palsy, autism, brain tumours, muscular dystrophy, strokes, childhood MS and acquired brain injuries. Through support from the Turosi Giving, families will have access to the Brainwave ‘Catch-A-Break’ hospital voucher program which provides short term financial respite to families admitted to The Royal Children’s Hospital Cockatoo Ward, which specifically cares for children with neurological conditions. Many of the families that Brainwave supports are financially and socially disadvantaged so when their child is diagnosed with a neurological condition, it is not known what the future looks like. Families often need to stay in hospital for prolonged periods ranging from a few days to many months. The program provides direct relief by paying for petrol, groceries, emergency accommodation, coffee and meals. This enables families the opportunity to ‘catch a break’ from what is an additional strain on the family income at such an uncertain and stressful time. From all of us at Brainwave, we wish to sincerely thank everyone at Turosi for their valuable donation. You’ve seen the recent market trials for the ‘Mozzarella Zinger’ and ‘Big Cheese’ and there are more to follow... The path to market for these products is complex, from their initial development and testing through to their delivery and launch into store… and typically run to very tight timelines. It was a very pleasant surprise for this work to be recognised at the recent KFC Supplier Conference at which Jodie Nelson accepted the ‘Link‘ award from the KFC team for our contribution to the KFC Supply Chain Great work team!
